Where is the AUX connection on the radio

There is no port. There should be a ten wire bundle (5 pair) coming out of the back (next to the power port). One pair of wires should be labeled aux in.

Connecting iPod to Panasonic CQ-C5310U

I'm pretty sure that there are RCA jacks in the back of the unit for the aux input. Don't have my owners manual so can't really say, but if there is an aux input, there is sure to be some RCA jacks in the back. So if you take the stereo out, look for those jacks then attach a 1/8 "Y" connector. Then route that wire to the front. Then you'll have something to connect your mp3 player to. =)

Using an ipod with CQ-DFX403U

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/CD/model.CQ-DFX403U

This is the link to your units pdf manual. It also covers a 7 series model which does have "Aux in" Your unit does not. You do have the capability to add a cd changer via the link on the back of the deck but it is Not an auxillary input. Now, it is correct that you could use a FM modulator running thru the tuner on 87.1 or 89.1. I think the confusion on this unit was a quick glance at the manual. It does have an "audio in" but it is specific to the panasonic disc changer and triggered thru the changer din cord. which is why you see no "Aux" on the display nor hear any audio. If you look at page 5 in the pdf version of the manual it states that the 403 does "Not" have aux in. The manual reads tricky on the other pages, sounding and looking like they are detailing the 403 when in fact the example is the 783. At the moment I can't think of a "good fix" for this pickle. I'll noodle it thru and if I can get you a solid way to make this do what you wish without lots of signal loss I'll post another comment. Hope this helps explain what's happened.
