The screen lock is available on the iPod Touch, as well as recent models of the iPod, and iPod nano, allowing you to set a 4-digit passcode to lock the screen. This is to prevent others from using your iPod, but it is not an impregnable security device. If you forget the passcode, you can quickly and simply unlock the iPod by connecting it to the computer you normally use to sync your iPod with iTunes.
If you forgot your passcode then you need to restore your iPod touch. To do this:Connect device to your computer that you sync everything within iTunes go to the device and on the front there should be restore your iPodClicking on this will allow you to access your iPod touchNOTE: you MAY lose your data by doing this.You have been warned.
You'll need to restore the software with iTunes. Select the iPod in iTunes, under the Summary Tab, select Restore. You will then need to resync it as well.
