Same problem - paper goes through OK, but comes out blank. Have tried sucking ink through print head - which has been a solution for the last year - but now just two brief alarm flashes with fleeting warning 'put in cartridge' and no printing. Any ideas please?

Only prints color, not black. Tried all maintenance steps, (including deep cleaning) no change. Replaced cartridge & still no black printing. There are no error messages

My printer prints blank pages when I want to print files from my computer, but works fine without a computer

If you don't use the printer often (at least once a month) you probably have cartridges drying up on you. If by chance you have an Epson or canon, the print head is inside the printer, so regardless of how many new cartridges you put in there, you will encounter the same problem.

If you are using a generic or third party ink, it may be too dense or of low quality clogging yourprint head.

You can try to run a bunch of print head cleanings. (your manual will tell you how) If by about 8 you are not seeing any improvement start with a new printer. Do a print head cleaning once a month ALWAYS as a preventative measure. This will ensure you get a long life out of your printer, and a top quality print from your cartridges.

I just put all new ink in my printer and will not print. Unplugged it to re-boot it, still won't work. If i copy something by hand will not print, if i copy something from computer it does not...

be sure that you remove the tape from the cartridges before you insert it in the printer, it has a color pink attach to the tape remove it slowly then insert the cartridge to the printer,

When trying to print or copy - the paper goes through the printer but there is nothing printed on the paper.

If you haven't printed anything for a long time, probably the cartridge nozzles are clogged and you'll probably need to buy new ones. To check if the nozzles are clogged, remove the cartridge from the printer and genly press the paper napkin on the print head for a few seconds. If the nozzles are clogged, nothing will remain on the napkin, otherwise, there should be some ink on it.
If you find your nozzles clogged, you can try to clean the cartridges (start the cleaning process from the printer driver). If this doesn't help you can try something, but only if you decided to throw the cartridges away, so you have nothing to loose: put the cartridge (with the head downside) into the hot water (but not boiling) and leave it for about ten minutes, then wipe them and put them back to the printer to try printing. Good luck!

Your BROTHER printer appears to have a clogged head OR the configuration settings are set to use the minimum ink.

A clogged head It is caused by lack of use. You need to "clean" the head printer using the installed tools at the computer.

Abut the configuration, check if "Saving mode" is enable on the computer o any settings that may be using little ink on printing.

Canon MP470: "Print Head is not installed. Install Print Head"

Some printer brands have a cute scheme that reads a "new" cartridge as good, but the refilled one has a small fuse link that is burned out by the printer. Try factory new cartridges. Unplug the printer power for a bit to reset the printer.

I replaced both ink cartridges for the printer, won' print.

Please follow the procedure your printer has which forces it printer to clean the print heads.
I have experience of other epson stylus models.  I have previously spoken to epson about this exact problem.  Repeating the head cleaning process a minimum 5 times cleared the problem.
Running head clean multiple times in succession builds up pressure in the print heads - causing (usually new) cartridges to work correctly.
kind regards
