Do you have the jetdirect print server attached to the printer? If so, follow the instructions for the print server setup before connecting to the broadband router

I cannot print over wireless connection. I am using the Linksys WRT54G. I am trying to print from my laptop to my HP LaserJet 1320 PCL 6 printer. I cannot see the printer from my laptop. I am using AVG...

Disable your firewall on that computer where you shared your printer.

After that check firewall settings to allow printing from the network.

Your router working ok.

How can i reset my Linksys Wireless-G2.4GHZ Broadband Router settings

Try to reset the router. This should resolve your problem. That model has a small hole were you must press with some a paper clip for exemple for a few seconds. This will reset the router to its original state.

Linksys wireless prnt server

Hi,

Based on your post description, I am assuming that:
1. You can connect to the Internet through your 2241 Neptoia modem;
2. You can access your WRT54G V8 Linksys Wireless router @ 192.168.1.1;
3. Both 1 & 2 above could be done through a wireless connection from your PC.

Connect everything as they are supposed to be wired (printer, Print Server, modem, router etc)

Pls try:
a. Connect the Linksys wireless print server using a lan cable to the Linksys WRT54G Wireless AP/router. (Will tackle the wireless connection a bit later)
b. Reset your print server; &
c. Do a diagnostic print-out.
Instructions for b & c are in page 4 of your manual.

You need to verify that:
i. the Power indicator is contnously green
ii. the Ethernet indicator is contnously green
iii. the USB indicator is contnously green
iv. the Wireless indicator may or may not be contnously green

Pls post back with the generated diagnostic print-out before we can proceed with the other steps.

Additionally, try installing the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 direct to one of the USB ports of your PC. Use the installer/driver CD that came with it. Try using it as a regular printer. This will tell us status of the printer.

Good luck and kind regards.

What brand of print server would be compatible with a linksys broadband router and the HP printer?

You asked for any advice. If you want to use a server, you must already have at least a home network set up (it could be wireless or hard-wired). Yes, stand-alone "print servers" are notorious for only supporting certain printers. If you don't know this before you buy, you may find yourself returning your print server to the store. However, instead of a standalone print server, have you considered setting up one of the computers in your network as a "print server"? That's the way it used to be done. That's the way my own network is set up. You would set up your multifunction printer as connected directly to one of the computers in your network. Enable "printer sharing" on that computer. Then do the following on all other computers in the network for which you desire access to the printer: Add a network printer. If asked for drivers, get them off the printer's installation CD.
