The only way of getting a full-screen picture is to push the zoom button. how can I get a regular full-screen picture? do I need a HD box?

Hi rosscop

You have a magnetic interference problem. First, have you put any magnetic objects like speakers near the set recently. They will cause this. Turn the set off at the wall and wait for 15 mins for the PTC device that turns on the degauss coil to cool and operate. It is the loud burst of hum you here when you turn the set on from cold.

0083efa.jpgThe PTC is a postive tempeture coefficient that allows alot of current to flow at first, heating up as it does, and then slowly less current as it heats. This is why you need to turn the set off and let it cool. If the problem remains The PTC may be faulty allowing too much current to flow and upsetting the magnetic flux about the tube. If you dont have the skills you will need a technician to sort it out for you.

Picture size

I found the user manual online, and the pictures in it are really helpful and make this make a lot more sense, but:
1. Press [SCREEN MODE], to switch the TV aspect ratio.
2. Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly until the normal screen displays.
NOTE: • Some programs may not offer all display mode options.
4:3 Programming
[Sidebar] Sidebar displays a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size. Sidebars will be displayed on the right and left edges of the screen.
[Full] Full displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with less horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen because a little bit of the top and bottom edge of the screen will be cut off.
[Wide] Wide displays the center of the picture as original size and the outer sides of the picture will be elongated. The size of the picture will depend on the original signal.
16:9 Programming
[Full] A picture is displayed at 16:9 size as it is.
[Zoom] Zoom displays a 16:9 picture without changing its horizontal and vertical ratio, at its maximum size.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 16:9 picture with vertical elongation.
[Expand] Expand displays a 16:9 picture with horizontal elongation

Describe your Digital Cameras Problem It's quite exasperating to have only taken four pictures, then have the screen say internal memory full!

Yes, well you probably need a card. Those things only come with about
12 meg in them, if anything. Tell me what kind of camera you have, I'll tell you what you need.
or go to the manufacturers, website, or read the manual.

Can you tell me how to access the front touch-screen full-keypad?

You can only have the front screen touch keypad when you touch twice (double click) in the area where you want to type. (for example when you browse on the internet, text messaging or adding contacts). If you can't use the touch keypad the phone will tell you (for example in MSN messenger, you have to work with the keypad inside the phone).

** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that
folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.

If that does not work then do this:

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering Technology then Acer E-Recovery - The look at the bottom and you will
"Backup", "Burn disk" and Restore" choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say
extracting) - once extracted - click Install or Guides and Manuals if needing Orbicam instructions - click Vista or (XP) on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the
right side of the screen, then look for Bison driver or (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) you have then click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions. Then repeat steps above and instead of driver choose Bison (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) Utility
