Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone

Calender Scheduler I have entered events in the calenders scheduler. Most turn the date RED, and say that there is an event on that date. Some do not change the date color, and say that no events are scheduled, however if you access the date, the event is there.

Yes, mine just started doing that too. It changes some red. Others stay black and say there is not event posted...but when i click on the date, it shows what i've input (and when i search it shows what i input). Doesn't make sense to me. I don't actually want a new phone, but...

I've tried erasing and re-inputting info. I noticed it after i asked for no alert, so i went back and asked for an alert. I don't get it.....

I found out that if you take it back to the store, they can "flash" it. That worked. It takes about 15 minutes.

Turn off alarm for calendar?

As far is I can tell there is not a global setting for turning off the alarm on the calender. Whenever you create a "Schedule" event on your calender the default seems to be for a "Reminder" alarm to go off "On Time"; that is to say the alarm will go off at the exact of your scheduled event. However, when you first create a "schedule" event you can scroll down to "Reminder" and choose from "On Time", "10 Minutes before", "30 Minutes before", "1 Hour before" or you can choose the one you would want which is "No Alarm". You can also find options on that screen for controlling what kind of alarm you want including the choice of having a "Vibrate only" alert to you scheduled event. You can always go back and "Edit" any events that are already scheduled and deselect the alarm for those events.

If you don't want to mess with the different alarms and alarm settings you might consider creating from the "Create Event" menu either a "Task" or a "Note" for a particular date on the calender. There are no default alarms associated with either of those. Create "Note is very easy to use. Just select a date and you can enter the time and other appointment information in the "Note" area of the "Create Note" screen.

I hope this is a helpful solution for someone.

I have Dukane Communication System--Model MCS350. How do I change the bell schedule for this system?

Do you need to change times on your bell schedule or change what schedule you're on? To change times go to your master phone press system, enter passcode, scroll by pressing next until you see programmed events, press select, you will see Event 1 this represents your first bell press select to change it. Scroll until you see tm, press select, enter the time, press enter. Then press exit it will bring you back to Event 1 press next it will bring you to Event 2 that is for your 2nd bell program it like you did the first event. If you need to change the schedule get into the system like you do for events and press next until you see time schedule enter the schedule ou would like to use for that day and press enter. I have Calandar Creator 10 and have created a family calandar which I use from year to year that includes birthday events, holidays etc. and phases of the moon. This year, when I went from Dec. 2010 to...

Calendar Creator 10 has the four moon phases from Jan 1990 thru Dec 2010. To extend past 2010:
- File Open Collection ' Local Disk(c:)'Program Files'Calendar Creator' Template'Events'Phases of the Moon.bcc
-For each of the four events (First Quarter, Full Moon, Last Quarter, and New Moon) change the Repeat Until date past 12/31/2010 to 12/31 of the year you will add data for
-For each of the four events, click Advanced Repeat Rule you can selete the drop down under Exceptions / Pick exception and there you can see the dates by month and year from Jan 1990 thru Dec 2010 for the event. You need to extend this list. First obtain the moon phases from some web site like www.timeanddate.com/calendar. (note that this site calculates the mone phases base on New York time). The simply select each of the dates for the event you are modifying by clicking that date on the calendar in the upper right hand of the screen. Just advance the calendar thru the months and years you want to enter data for. You can check the list when finished by selection the ExceptionS Pick exception drop down box.
- Save your changes by clicking OK and Ok again. Make changes for all for events.
- Select File and Save Collection
- You need to replace the Phases of the moon events in your calendar by removing the old events and importing the new events. To remove the old Phases of the moon in your calendar, select Events'Categories highlight Phases of the moon and delete. Then add back the changed events by File'Import Events and browse for the Phases of the moon.bcc file you changed.
I hope this gets you what you need.

Why is the calender event icon on my screen, i dont have a calender event for today.

Actually, PiyushVig's answer is completely incorrect. The Calendar icon on both the front screen and the main screen are not always there. They only show up for a reason, and that is because there is a calendar event scheduled for that day. (Likewise there is no setting in the phone to show or not show the calendar icon. If you have an event scheduled for that day, the calendar icon will show and there is no changing that feature.)

Today I had the same problem as the person who asked this question. There are no events scheduled for today yet the phone displays the calendar icon on both the main screen and the front screen of my Samsun Convoy SCH-U640 cell phone.

So I just got off the phone with Samsung support to see if I could resolve this issue. They told me that there is no reason for the calendar icon to show up when there are no events scheduled for that day. They had me do a soft boot (shut off phone and remove battery for 20 seconds then replace battery and turn phone back on) and that did not work. I also tried actually programming an event for today and then erased it but that did not make the bogus calendar even alert icon go away.

So Samsung Support's conclusion to this issue is exactly what I suspected before I even called them; it's simply a software glitch (which is annoying for those Convoy users that really use and rely on the calendar function).

Event/Schedule Snooze

i really don't think you can snooze a calendar item,it is designed to remind you only of your event and current schedule. unlike alarm which you can snooze every 5 minutes..it can only be repeated everyday up to every year...

Overwrite all calendar events

Selct Desktop overwrite Handheld. You can change the way the synchronisation takes place for all applications, either from the palm desktop application or from the status icon in the taskmanager bar. There are different options: - Synchronize - Handheld overwrite desktop - Desktop overwrite handheld - Do Nothing If the PC is up-to-date and you want to use these data you should select the "Desktop overwrite Handheld". This will clear the handheld calender and replace with the data from the pc/desktop
