Hi,
Refrigerator suddenly not getting cold. Pull out Freezer on bottom works fine.
We had a issue a couple of times in the past where it would stop working for a day, I would turn the switch on top off and on and then it would start working again. This time the switch is not helping. It has not been cleaned since we bought it in 2004. I hear the fan uptop working. Any ideas?
Sound like it could need re gassing has the unit been nocked or pushed up against a wall this might be the case as sometimes it just needs regassing you should be able to get someone locall to come out and regass it for you hope this is some help
does the circuit board with the evap fan conector on it also have the conectors for the lights or is this a seperate board as you have replaced the board then it should work but as it still not work it then must be a power problem where does the board get its power from can you see the conectors for the power also have a look to see if their are any internal fuses also look on the board you have taken out to see if you can see a heat problem or a short prob look see if anything has melted or swelled up if you have replaced fan and board then it is deffinately a power problem getting to the board follow the power wires to the board and check wher they go post back when you have had a look at this i will try help you some more

Problem is Frig is warm and Freezer is fine. Not a lot of ice and just a nice coating of frost on coils. Turns out the evaporator fan not working so I replaced this first. New Evaporator fan also not working. I turned it back on for four hrs and still nothing.
Any ideas what the next step would be? There was not alot a defrosting after I turned it off the first time.
It seems to be getting plenty cold in freezer though not backed up with ice. The evap fan is not working so I replaced that and still not working. Would gassing cause the fan not to work? All lights etc are on.
No I don't think that is the problem the evap fan is not coming on. Here is update. Update to this issue. I was told that the evap fan in this model did not run through the defrost thermostat but instead directly to the cicuit board in the control panel. Since we had a lightning strike about the same time this thing conked out thought this seemed like a likely suspect. So I waited a week to get the part and installed new board and still no evap fan movement. I really need to figure this out asap please help!!
