Kitchen aid frig not cold

Hi,
Refrigerator suddenly not getting cold. Pull out Freezer on bottom works fine.
We had a issue a couple of times in the past where it would stop working for a day, I would turn the switch on top off and on and then it would start working again. This time the switch is not helping. It has not been cleaned since we bought it in 2004. I hear the fan uptop working. Any ideas?

    Model # KBLC36MHS01
Problem is Frig is warm and Freezer is fine. Not a lot of ice and just a nice coating of frost on coils. Turns out the evaporator fan not working so I replaced this first. New Evaporator fan also not working. I turned it back on for four hrs and still nothing.
Any ideas what the next step would be? There was not alot a defrosting after I turned it off the first time.

It seems to be getting plenty cold in freezer though not backed up with ice. The evap fan is not working so I replaced that and still not working. Would gassing cause the fan not to work? All lights etc are on.

No I don't think that is the problem the evap fan is not coming on. Here is update. Update to this issue. I was told that the evap fan in this model did not run through the defrost thermostat but instead directly to the cicuit board in the control panel. Since we had a lightning strike about the same time this thing conked out thought this seemed like a likely suspect. So I waited a week to get the part and installed new board and still no evap fan movement. I really need to figure this out asap please help!!

Amana refrigerator not cold

The fan that should circulate air between the two compartments has failed. These usually have 'sleeve' bearings which can become sticky and fail to start up without help. Go to the Sears/parts website and enter your Amana model number; if you are lucky, they will have a line drawing of your model which can aid in finding how to access the fan:
Sears Parts Dept.
They have info for thousands of non-Sears items and most can be ordered via that website as well.

Kitchen aid top shelf warm

  1. check gasket
  2. check the light switch on top of the refrig. section. If then pushed the switch turns the light off, but the light is still on with the fridge door closed - door needs adjustment.

My kitchen aid frig is not working. the freezer side does work is it worth fixing model kitchenaid ksrp25fnss00. i bought ot 4 years ago

I would suggest you may have an airflow problem. As the frig compartment receives the cold air from the freezer compartment and you say the freezer is working, then you must have an airflow problem .Check the airflow dail next to the thermostat that has numbers. Normal setting is the middle setting on both airflow dail and therm.Allow temp to stabilize and recheck.hope this helps.
