I was microwaving a yam and set the Baked Potatoe setting. Luckily it made a noise because I was not watching it. I came in to find the entire inside of microwave totally on fire. Very scarey. I was so relieved to be able to get it out and not have suffered worse damage to my house.
The owner's manual warns of the dangers of overcooking potatoes and similar foods and not to ever leave the oven unattended while it's running.
If
for some reason you don't have your owner's manual, you can
download Frigidaire owner's manuals and installation
instructions here.
Are you looking for help to get your microwave working again?
Chances are it's just an opened flame sensor (cavity thermostat / thermal cutout / T.C.O.). Its job is to cut power if there's a fire.
You can find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number from the tag on the oven here.
Accessing some components for testing and possible replacement (like the oven cavity thermostat) will require you to remove the oven from the wall.
If
so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have
two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.
