The water supply cut previously during mid cycle. The water supply has since returned but the error message "no water check supply" keeps flashing up towards the end of each cycle. The water does not drain properly and the cycle never seems to finish as a result. The detergent is also not being properly drained from the drawer.
SOURCE: Machine stops in Rinse & Spin Cycle & leaks water
suspect problem is that water is not draining fast enough so when machine gets to spin there is too much water present which gets thrown up thro thew soap drawer. check the filter. on many hotpoint filter is not obvious. at back, take off bottom panel. you will see a large dia hose going from bottom of machine to pump. undo this hose at the tub end and the filter is inside it. be carefull. if you havn\'t managed to drain, a lot of water will come out. if this doesn\'t work, get back to me if you want
SOURCE: Not draining
it will be the pump they have a small fan inside them they get weak and with the pressure of the water they stop spinning which doesnt push your the water through the motor fast enough to drain properly replace and you will see the difference

I actually found it was the pump but not that it was faulty. When we took it out there was a hair stretchy ( like a rubber band) wrapped around the wheel stopping it from working properly. Took that off and it is now working perfectly. Even big wads of hair can do that so even if it doesn't seem to be blocked take the wheel out of its casing and have a good look at the spindle.
