De error but the machine have not door switch

de error mean door error. For fixing this you can try to reset using the instruction from lg site (http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT00000305-20150140270078-others).
If not work, maybe de switch is bad or the door is not closing properly.

dE is a door error, check switch, door alignment and wiring harness

I think that should be a "DE" error code. On LG machines the DE error code is for a "Door Open Error".
Check the condition of the door lock, door hook and switch as this will give the error code above, the switch can be checked with a multimeter for condition. You might need to replace the door hook or the internally mounted switch.

DE is for a door lock error and you will need to replace the lock. Here is the part to order.

dE stands for Door open Error. Your door is not closed properly or the door switch is not activated. Try to press the door firmly. If the error does not go then you will have to check the door latch, notch ( a protruding part which goes inside to latch & activate door switch) & the door switch for any damage. For Top load machines the notch is near the hinges & inside the machine.

Washers have a door lock with micro-switch or a door lock motor, depending on the model.

If there is a door switch, this can be tested either reading Ohms or jumping its contacts. When the switch has three contacts instead of two the third contact is an 'heater' (impedance). With door closed the two (or tree) door switch contacts must show continuity, which means that if you read impedance using a multimeter the impedance will not be Ohm infinity (circuit open).

If there is a door motor and no switch the motor is tested reading Ohms and verifying that they correspond to the value in specifications. If it is door error check the connector to the switch or the
(usually VIOLET(VL) 2 PIN on LG) connector to the power board. Disconnect power first and read impedance to check if there is contact.

The De code is a door switch error.

The door switch is broken or a wire to the door switch is loose or broke.

The door switch may need to be replaced.

In rare cases the main computer is at fault.

A DE Error Code is indicative of a “Door Error”. This indicates that the washing machine door is not shutting, locking or opening. This means that there is something faulty with the door switch and locking mechanism . You should get this replaced or you may have water where you do not want it. biigg53566

de is 'door error'. I just fixed this with a new door catch/switch (called a door overlock). Theres a bi-metal strip in there that makes the contacts as well as keeping the door locked closed when its working and it looks like this was the culprit as I was able to open the door even when the machine was filling. The de was intermittant, if you continued to open and close the door it would start eventually - if it does this try changing the switch, cost about £30.

DE is a error code for your door switch. The door is not locking properly. You need to get a new door latch mechanism.
