After changing the oil, oil filter, and air filter, I crank the engine to let oil circulate. I notice the engine indicator "ON". Did I do something wrong?

refill the battery with electrolyt and charge it fully, then try to start the vehicle
If it cranks/turns over no faster have the starter motor checked.
Ensure that the timing belt is intact before you do anything, and that it is in the correct position.
Ensure that the oil is clear of water and is clean and is topped up to the top mark on the dipstick
Assuming you have checked the above and the belt and oil/coolant is all as they should be, and you have a fully charged battery and the starter is ok .......attempt to start the vehicle. Turn it over/ crank it over a few times if it does not start immediately.
Should it not start perform a compression check to find out the
engine's state of health.
Then come back with the results and we can go feom there.

1. With the Car Off, Press and hold down the Odometer Trip Reset Button. 2. While still pressing the Trip Reset Button, Turn the Ignition Key half way on where all your oil, check engine lights etc.. turn on. Don't turn it as far as you would to normally start the car. Wait a few seconds and the Check engine light will turn off. 3. Turn the key back to the Off position and you're done.
The Change Filter indicator light is controlled by a timer, rather than detecting the condition of the filter. After changing the filter, hold down the timer and speed buttons for about 5 seconds. This turns off the indicator light and resets the timer.
Hi Linda - there is a "reset" hole - you have to stick a pin or a paper clip in the hole when you change the HEPA filter - I just found this out myself! It does work. Mine didn't work right away, but it did end up resetting and went back to green after a few moments. I think this happened to me last time. The filters are really expensive, but you can get them at Walmart. If you need more information, email me at [email protected] and I'll tell you what model filter, etc.
Turn off the unit Open the filter cover On the top right corner, there is a small hole Push a paper clip into this and the change filter light will stop blinking.
Noggin's solution is correct. My copy of the BAP825 manual says to poke a paper clip into "the hole marked RESET." There is no hole marked 'reset' on the air cleaner. Thanks, Noggin!
When the red light is blinking, press and hold both up and down arrows until the red light blinks RAPIDLY, release both for a second or two, and press and hold both again until it stops blinking. It cured my problem.
