I hv samsung 3160 fn & HP laserjet 1008 printers installed on one system.when i am commanding print to HP 1008 by selecting HP 1008 printer from all printer menu.my HP printer always blinking orange light,but not printing. If i am uninstalling samsung printer,there is no problem to print.what can i do ?

As the Laserjet 1020 not officially supported by the OS, you will need to download and install the HP Printer Drivers 2.11 package which include the Laserjet 1022 drivers, those should allow you printing using your device.

Install the package by following the Download below:

After completing the installation go to System Preferences ' Print & Scan and click the Plus sign,
Select the listed printer and click the Print Using drop-down.
Click Select Printer Software and then select the Laserjet 1022 which should be available now.
Complete adding the printer and try printing now.

Remove the fusing unit and clean the upper and lower fuser roller.

Go to menu, in tray tray behaving tray1 select as unless paper load,in tray2 page size as any size.. while giving print command select printer properties, goto paper/quality select paper source automatic or tray2 & shoot print command & check...
# if you are not selected tray 1 as unless paper load, it will ask paper to load after command reached to it.
# if you are not selected tray2 as any paper size, defined paper size only it will allow to print..any paper size it will print with out questing you..

1st: turn off your printer, wait 5 minutes, turn on again. Try to print again and see if the problem is solved. If this doesn't work:
2nd: de-install your printer from your computer, download the latest driver for your operating system, install your printer again. And if this doesn't work, download the latest HP Laserjet generic driver and install it again.
You can find the drivers on the support page from HP, searching for the model printer that you have and select the driver for your operating system (windows xp, vista, 7..)

This can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot. The picture below is from a Samsung CLP-300 but these both use the same Imaging Unit so this should work. It's just a little more involved taking off the top scanner / buttonpad off the CLX-3160.

Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on - only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.

The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

What you need to do is go to the printersmenu in the control panel and then see which printer is set as the default printer.If the selection is correct,see if any documents are pending in the print queue or not.If it still does not solve your concern then your printer has taken up an IP address that is no more recognized by your computer.So you need to change the port to which the computer is printing.If you want further support you can avail free technical support on http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz.

open your prtinter from backside then open fuser asenmbley.
u need to change your roller

I have a HP laser 6L gold printer, it is working properly. Now the problem is I had lost my Installer/Driver Floppy, I therefore unable to install my Printer on the PC. I am using Windows 98 SE Operating System. Win98 has a self 6L PCL Driver but I want to install actual Driver. May I request you to kindly provide the same.
