This is the second new washer in the house. After about 3 months the unit has trash at the bottom of the glass catch, sometimes water dosn't drain, and dishes look like they have not even been washed. I bought this unit from Lowes and both have malfunctioned. Also water spots on dishes everything is kinda greesy. I have a garbage disposal on my sink, thats the only thing I can think of. Same unit new, twice this has happened can anyone help? I have had alot of houses with new dishwashers in them and never had any problems with them. Although never had a garbage disposal with the sink could this be the problem?

Re: Frigidaire FDB1050REM2 Stainless steel
Thats sure can be the problem, especially since you had 2 machines with the same problem??? whats the chances of that.?? check your installation of drain hose. correctly done the hose MUST wrap up and back down the side of d/w created what is called HIGH LOOP(prevents siplhoning of water out and would help with debris flowing back through. make sure your cleanig the disposer frequently sounds like your backing up into d/w for sure

if the pump isnt bad, there is a sensor mounted in the back o of the unit that controls draining. It is near the water outlets and have wire connectors. Part.com or appliance parts.com to find replacement
This is the drain cycle and it shows that the drain is not working at all. So make a test with the washer on in the drain cycle and test the voltage on the drain pump./valve, if voltage ispresetnthe drain valve/pump is faulty or cloggged. If there is no votage then the program controller is faulty. you might ahve to check if the controller can be rectified or replaced as a whole.
Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power.
Remove the bottom front service panel.
Carefully reach up through the bottom opening and pull the release tab on the bottom of the door lock assembly until it clicks. NOTE: Internal metal edges in the washer can be sharp. Protective gloves are recommended for this procedure.
By pulling the manual release tab on the door lock assembly, you should be able to get the washer door open.
After opening the door and removing the clothes, I recommend emptying any remaining water in the tub with a wet/dry vacuum (or bail it out). Since you already have the bottom front service panel off and the washer unplugged, you can arrange shallow pans and towels to catch any remaining water and pull the large item filter out of the drain pump assembly as shown in the second image below. You may find a clog in this area that is preventing your washer from draining properly. Clear any clog or debris from this area and reassemble the washer. Check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.
Sure its redeemable if you have the time and money. If I understand you correctly when you move the lowewr spray arm the water drains out? If this is the case then more than likely its a pump motor or solenoid. Reason I say this is on the bottom of the spray arm is a impeller and under that is filter and then pump impeller that drains the water. If its not draining but will by hand then its your pump motor or solenoid. When you start the washer then press cancel/drain do you hear anything? Maybe a humming sound. One more thing could be a thermal fuse for the motor. These are usually not resetable its a one time fuse if it blows you have o buy another one.Hope this helps
F21 error usually means your drain filter is plugged. Typically caused by small items such as hosiery socks and such small things. Remove the bottom panel, you'll see the drain plug right away. Get a shallow pan and place under the drain plug to catch the water that is still in there. Twist the plug off and drain 2-3 cups of water in there and remove all the junk. This is part of normal maintenance that Sears never bothered to tell you about in the manual and you really should clear the drain filter monthly or at least every other month.
Sometimes this is a problem with the drain pump filter. It will get clogged with debris which will cause unit to spin slowly. The panel at the front bottom of unit will grant you access to the filter on the pump. Get a bowl or bucket and get ready to catch some water. Good luck
no high spin speed will ever be acheived if the water cant drain out,, remove th elower acess panel (3) screws acros the front of unit, from there youll see a drain clean out, unscrew the plastic and remove the dbris,, BE WARNED THER EWILL BE WATER BEHIND THE SCREWOUT DRAIN PLUG!!!!! i usually grab a trash bag and hold under to catch the gallon or so of wate rthat will come out
