Hello You have only 5 wires? multi stage if so ,is run by something else.Check that RH/RC is jumped out on new stat. Also check that O is not on the B terminal. If there is an A/B select switch set it to O.Emergency heat button dont matter as there is no wire to run it with only 5 wires.

H100id induced pool heater runs for 4 minutes then stops heating

I just solved this about an hour ago. It's the connection from the circuit board to the ignitor. The same thing happened to me that it ran a long time and then it wouldn't. At some point it loses spark. The large wire from the board to thee= ignitor is the culprit. Take the ignitor out and press the two electrodes to about 1/4"-3/8max. Clean the surface plate where it meets the heater and also clean the brass piece on the othe end. Then clean the brass piece on the circuit board. Slide the 2 boots down a little and expose the receptacles. Press them a little with pliers, put them on their respective connections and then slide the boots back on. It started right up and has been running since! This after I bought a new gas valve $178! Let me know if this does it for you.

Your house might be older.  Are your receptacles two-prong, or three?
I would ignore the missing "G" wire, and connect Red to both Rc and Rh, and Y to Y, and W to W.

The thermostat is out on my Kenmore 14.8 cu ft freezer

I asked a local repair shop. Just pull ******* the sensor wire and it will slip out of the tube through which it runs. Run the new wire which is attached to the new thermostat thru the same tube. Prior to purchasing the thermostat, I tested with a ohm meter for continuity ( there was none) and jumped the attaching power wires. The compressor ran verifying the problem with the thermostat. Thermostat cost $47.00.
