I have windos vista with 64 operating system . My flat acer scanner 640 BU worked well with Windos XP. But it does not work with Vista.I have old a driver but it does not work.How can I solve this problem.

The old CPU (Processors) were not 64 Bit advanced devices and thus they cannot accept the newer OS (Win8). XP was the last OS they were capbale of working with.

Acer haven't yet officially released windows7 drivers for Aspire5570. But you can use vista drivers for your windows7 operating system.it is compactable .

No there is NO suitable driver for hardware this old....
Here is how to Install them so they work.
Download your XP driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop.
You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP.
Right click the .exe file and select "Properties".
Then select the tab called "Compatibility"
Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted. OR Windows ME, 2000 etc.
Now apply the settings and run the installer.
This should work for most drivers, but not all
Who makes the ez305 web cam. Look @ the website of the producer if they have a driver your in. But if they don't and vista won't install a generic driver it won't work. Vista will make a lot of hardware obsolete just like xp for hardware that works with windows 98.
