Did not receive a list of which channels are legal to use
Give a call on ch 19 am pn each band. The band that someone replies on is probably the legal band.
None of them if you have to ask. It requires a license to operate.

Combination of hi / low switch and the band knob, I believe C band with the switch on low will give regular channels.

The best way to set it is to get you a radio check, go to channel 19 and ask someone about three to five miles away to give you a radio check, start with your modulation all the way open and go from there.....hope this was helpful...

i have a 4600 connex and if i turn the mic gain all the way up i get alot of modulation.can someone tell me how to fix that?

That needs to be done by someone that knows how, theres soldering involved. most cb shops will do it for $free-$10.00... Don't pay any more than that.. there are no parts nor is it hard so they shouldn't charge much.
