Please help....Im useless on computers. I have a scanner (Scanjet 2100C HP) which used to work on my old laptop which had Windows XP. Unfortunately my laptop broke and I am now using one with Windows Vista. Someone told me that this may be the problem??? I dont have the disc that comes with the scanner. The scanner usually automatically comes up and works straight away. Any ideas? Thanks guys, Sarah
Unfortunately, HP doesn't support Vista for that scanner model.
However, some have reported success using windows 2000 drivers on Vista.

Be sure to unplug the scanner from the computer BEFORE installing the driver / software.
