The M-7310 is self booting. If it is wired back to the phone system it should start flashing the LED's as soon as you plug it in. The wiring is standard 1 pair of wires on the center 2 pins of the jack. They are proprietary and will only work behind a Norstar telephone system. To see if it is a bad phone, swap it out with a working one at another location. Hope this helps

What type of System is it? Norstar systems default to 2 lines if they loose memory (which isn't supposed to happen). That being said, I recently had had to replace an old Norstar 616 that would not hold memory after a power outage. I took the KSU apart and could not find any internal battery to replace. I'm guessing some kind of capacitor ?? In any case the system had to be replaced. Bill C. www.dyna-tech.us We also do remote programming on Norstar CICS ans MICS.
It sounds like the phone lost its programming of feature buttons. To reprogram them, press "Feature (star) 3" press the button to be programmed, and enter the feature code for the feature to be programmed:
Transfer -- Feature 70
Call Fwd (to mailbox) -- Feature 984
Call Fwd (to another ext.) -- Feature 4
Transfer caller to mailbox -- Feature 986
Page (general) -- Feature 60
