I would say the matrix of the screen has a shorted transistor. you can see if it's a thermal problem by shutting it off for a while, and then after it's cooled down. power it up... see if goes away, then comes back...
Hopefully its still in Warranty... it's not a simple method of changing a single part. as they dont make them like that any more. some displays are all "Integrated" with driver xistors part of the assembly...
If you were having a thermal problem, I'd would buy a can of Freeze spray that the techs use to instantly cool a part down for testing... then you would have to spray around the back of the unit to cool it down. hoping it's under warranty tho... maybe you'll be lucky and settle for putting a fan behind the screen if it's out of warranty...
This is a very common problem with this Panasonic set where half the right side is bad and the other half is good. This has been traced to a general plasma panel defect in the manufacturing precess. The panel lasts only about 1.5 years and they go bad. The only solution is to replace the plasma panel. The charges for the cost and labor will double the original prize of the TV set.Good luck.
This fault is most likely caused by the plasma panel itself, which would be prohibitively to replace. I suggest contacting Panasonic service and tell them about your problem. I have known Panasonic to be very good in the past, often still helping out even when the item is out of warranty.
EASY! ok the 4th video processing unit is malfunctioning, if it is a Piano affect like the keys on the piano, then that can be fixed under your 1year warrenty after your 1year warrenty it will cost $200, but i could be wrong, i never studied panasonic plasma casue they ****, next time get a samsung.
the worst contrast and video ajustments, thats a panasonic.
This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.
