All you need to do is change the device it is going to burn the files to. Apparently it is currently set to burn an .nrg image file to your hard disk. If you click on the down arrow next to the Image Drive, you will see your DVD/CD drives listed there.

Can't burn cds in Windows Media Player 10

For security reasons you should upgrade to WMP 11 immediately. To burn cd's use another, specialized, program - it will be faster and it will have a better audio quality.
I use http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/CD-DVD-Tools/Windows-Portable-Applications-Power-Laser-Express.shtml
Free and it doesn't need install.

I want to burn Windows Media Audio/Video file to a cd so i could play it to a cd player

put a blank cd in your drive and make a playlist in window media player and open the copy to cd dialog and copy your contents. You can also go for 'nero' for the same purpose which is more easy and better.

My cd-r/dvd-r rw, will not recognize blank discs. When it does recognize the disc, it burns at most two audio tracks and finalizes the cd. Then giving me an error message saying disk may be dirty or...

I suggest you try a better program. It is possible there is something wrong with your drive, but this sounds more like a silly software problem. If you are SURE you have a drive capable of burning, then try this free program. I have a blu ray player, it stopped working with most bluray discs. Found that I needed to update the firmware, but my Windows software couldn't burn an .iso disc. This software can do anything you need. http://cdburnerxp.se/download.php

It is free and works beautifully. I was able to download the program, burn an .iso disc and update my bluray player in minutes.

Voice Recorder-Files to CD?

Please follow the below solutions to create either an audio CD-ROM of .wav files or back-up
.wav files to a CD-ROM.
Problem: .Wav files downloaded to PC computer from the DW-90, VN Series, and DSS Files
created with DS Series recorders cannot be copied to a rewritable CD-ROM using Windows
Media Player to create an audio CD-ROM.
Explanation: These digital voice recorders create .wav files at 8kHZ, 12kHZ, or 22kHz
depending on the Quality setting. Digital Wave player software is used to download Wav files to
a PC computer from the DW or VN Series of recorders. DSS Player is used to download DSS
files from the DS Series recorders and convert them to Wav files. If Windows Media Player is
then used to copy the files to a rewritable CD-ROM to create an audio CD-ROM, the files will
not copy properly or an error message may appear. Windows Media Player can only create an
audio CD-ROM if the .wav file is 44.1kHZ, 16 bit stereo.
Solution: Follow the procedure below to convert the .wav files to 44.1 kHZ, 16 bit stereo. Then
use Windows Media Player to copy the files to a rewritable CD-ROM.
1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click Entertainment, and then click Sound Recorder.
2. On the File menu, click Open.
3. In the Open dialog box, specify the name of the audio file that you want to convert, and
then click OK. Files are usually located at C:\Program Files\Olympus\Digital Wave
Player\Message\Folder A.
4. On the File menu, click Save As.
In the Save As dialog box, click Change.
In the Attributes box, click 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo, and then click OK.
Click Save. After you convert your files, try to copy them to a CD-ROM again.

''i want to burn mp3 music on cd for my car stereo, but it won't p

if you went to 'audio burning' in nero and chose 'audio cd' then you should really not have any problems because it will play on any cd player. If you still have trouble with this though try burning an audio cd in windows media player instead. Create a playlist, it cannot be longer than 70 mins (i normally max at 68 minutes) then select burn playlist. This should play in your car with no problems.

I hope this helps

Unable to write audio cd's on samsung laptop

When you burn the music have you changed the format of the file to .cda because .mp3 will not work on an ordinary cd player. One way to burn audio is through Windows Media Player. That will covert the file format so you can listen to it. Just tell me if this dosn't help.

Burned CD's won't play in auto CD player

I had the problem of burned CD's not playing in my car. I used a CD-R and burned it at "slow" burn rate. Now I don't have a problem with playing the cd's in my car player. Try it, it worked for me.
