Clicking sound

The clicking noise is possibly the reader arm skipping across the platters on your hard drive
a dirty hard first clean all of the dust from your computer using a fine air blower using a vacuum cleaner with no metal piping you might short your motherboard out if metal touches anything

or a fine air blower from a compressor making sure there is no MOISTURE in the air line then give the hard drive a firm tap on one side to free up the read arm
you could run the check disk utility

Click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which willscan for and attempt to repair any bad
sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive

then defragment your hard drive
don't do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer

It might be power or data trying to get a connection make sure all power and data leads are securely attached

if this fails you might have a dirty hard driver with the reader arm skipping across the platters on your hard drive

give the hard drive a firm tap on the side to free up the reader arm you might be able to get it going long enough to salvage your data or it might go for a longer time

or you might use the freeze hard drive

I have some problem with our machine scotsman mv450 is to long product ice very slowly

Min freeze time 6 minutes and max freeze time 45 minutes. the 6 minutes is with perfect conditions. Example: Cycle time water temp was 50 degrees coming in to the water sump tray from water supply and the Ambient air temp surrounding the machine was a constant 70 deg than the machine should make ice every 10 - 12 minutes.now we know that the water temp from the water source is not going to be 50 deg and room temp will not be 70 deg all the time so the warmer water temp and ambient air temp is the longer it takes to make ice. one thing you wont to check is the water inlet valve to make sure it is not letting water seep through causing water temp not to cool down from running across evap plates. make sure the condenser coil is clean this will slow down production of ice.

What is the code for round robin in visual basic 6.0

That's not a question easily answered in the sense of a "language" (like VB, C or otherwise).

Round-Robin is actually a term for sharing a "time-slice"...

Meaning.. lets say there are 3 parties... each want 70% utilization of the processor (or time)... But.. obviously... 100% is all you have.

So.. How do you "fairly" share the time? There's a couple of ways, round-robin (for interrupts for example on x86 based processors) is a method.

What it means is-- regardless of how much time you want, or need.. the kernel (Operating system) will give you so long to get "whatever you are doing"...Done.

If you don't get it done in time... the next guy gets to do his job..for a similar amount of time... and the next guy.. and then..say-- back to you.

Hence..Round-Robin.. we all get a slice, and if we don't get it done in-time... next time around we'll another slice to get more work done... maybe the other 1 or 2 or N guys... are done, and we'll get move time..maybe others have joined in, and we'll get less-- its to-be-determinned at run-time...

That's not a code answer... I know.. but the question was a little abstract, if you can be more specific (code wise), I may be able to give more of an example..but for now, explaining WHAT it is may be more useful.

My volvo s80 will not start and when it does the engine shakes and then it dies out, it says "Reduced Engine Power" what can that be?

Have the timing checked if you can get it runing for a few minutes. If not I would have the computers codes checked if possible. It sounds like a timing problem

I cannot connect to the internet using the router the computer does not detect the router please help me with my problem thanks.

we ll start with the physical connections.
1.take ethernet cable n connect one end of the cable to the modem and the other end to the isolated port on the router(internet port) and then connect the computer and your router with other cable(any lan port).refer the chart on the router to distinguish the internet and lan port.
2.check the light status on the modem and router.
router lite status-power,alphabet i lite, wireless lite(lollipop lite) and the number light lit up(depends on the port eg port no:1 connected number 1 light lit up).
3.check the ip address and default gateway address.
steps:In windows(xp,2000 etc),click on start->click on run->in the search tab type cmd->dos prompt window opens, type ipconfig and u ll get ip address and default gateway address(192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).note it
In vista,start->in the search tab type cmd->dos prompt window type ipconfig->u ll get the address as specified earlier.
4.open the browser, type the default gateway address in the address bar and press enter. The login window ll ask for username and password. username-admin
password-password.
5.You ll enter the netgear smart wizard page.Run the setup wizard at the left side (blue screen).select yes and detect the type of connection.
6.If it is a cable modem-dynamic ip detected and click next.check whether the dns address is given automatically from isp and click apply. Then click on basic settings under setup menu and in that window in the router mac address select "use computer mac address "option and click on apply. Now click on router status under maintenance menu and check the ip address in internet port(it should not bo 0.0.0.0) and in lan port(eg 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.0.2).
7.If its a dsl modem-the type of connection ll be detected as pppoe.click next.configure your router with the username and password provided by the isp and click on apply. The router ll save the settings and then check the internet port and lan port
address as given in the previous step.
8.Now we have to configure the router for wireless settings(both modems same configuration).
*click wireless settings under set up menu.
*In that page enter
name(ssid):netgear1
region:us
channel:11
mode:g and b.
In security options select wep and key1 give your telephone number so that you wont forget the password.we have secured the n/w.
9.scan and connect to the network.
For windows vista-start->connect to->select the network name(netgear2)and click connect->it ll ask for password, enter it(telephone no).you ll successfully connected. Now disconnect the cable and try going online wirelessly.
For xp-start->control panel->network connections->right click on wireless network connection->select the network and configure.
10.you ll be able to go online wirelessly if there is any problem delete the preferred networks.
I have given you all the steps with examples to help you configure the router.hope you ll fix the issue and further assisstance im ready to help u but pls give details about your operating system, type of modem and no of computers so that it ll easy for me to troubleshoot.

Server 2003 AD

Hello Dolly, and welcome to FixYa.
As I´m not sure if you want to make a folder for a Domain user or a Local user, so I´ll give you both.
Domain user:
Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Active Directory Users and Computers.
In the console tree, click Users.
In the Details pane, right-click the user account, and then click Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, click Profile.
Under the Home folder, type the folder information. To do this, follow these steps:
To assign a home folder on a network server, click Connect, and then specify a drive letter.
In the To box, type a path. This path can be any one of the following types:
Network path, for example: \\server\users\test
You can substitute username for the last subfolder in the path, for example: \\server\users\username
NOTE: server is the name of the file server housing the home folders, and users are the shared folder.
Click OK.

Intertherm outside unit - s3ba-036k - does not run

Measure the voltage across the line. The outside unit normally runs on 220 Volts. Measuring each side of the line to ground will give 110 Volts. If your outside disconnect is of a fused type one fuse could be blown. If a fuse is blown on one side of the line you will read zero volts differential across the line.

Check the type of fuse used in the disconnect. Make sure the proper size time delay fuse is installed on both sides of the line at the disconnect.
