To explain;

You have a motherboard chipset on your motherboard.
The technology used on the Lenovo 3000 C100 Notebook PC, for it's motherboard chipset; is a Northbridge chip; and a Southbridge chip.

did you reformat the computer and don't have the drivers for it, well go to http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp, and look for the model of the computer that you own, and click on your sound driver download link, and reinstall it, this should fix the issue right away.

click download and follow the instructions.
