Wake the Kindle by pressing the button on the bottom edge of the device next to the USB jack. Then after the unit wakes up, navigate to the home screen by pressing the button centrally located on the front of the Kindle below the screen. (I doesn't look like a button, it resembles a grille and consists of 4 black parallel lines.) The home page will pop into view unless you were already there upon waking up.
1. Turn off your Craig CMP743d tablet by holding the Power button and selecting Power Off. 2. Simultaneously, hold the Back button and On button for 8 seconds. 3. When the android icon is seen already, press the Back button. 4. In the menu, just select the wipe/factory reset by pressing the Home button, followed by the pressing the Back button. 5. A new screen will appear. Select "Yes, delete all user data", then press Back button. 6. on the next screen, select "Reboot System Now" by pressing the Back button. 7. Just wait for your tablet to reboot.
have you tried calibrating the screen? You can do this by pressing the Home Button, question mark, and volume up button all at the same time. Turn the toy on without letting go of the other three buttons until you see the Touch Calibration Screen. If this does not help, then I suggest you call Vtech. Contach info is available at www.vtechkids.com if you no longer have the manual.
I don't know which OS your tablet uses... perhaps Jelly Bean. If so, if you push the Power button and the "Power Off" option shows up on the screen press the selection of "Power Off" and hold your finger down on it until a pop-up screen shows a selection of: Boot into "Safe Mode". Choose that and what happens is it boots up with no applications loaded. You should then be able to access the "Settings" and then choose "Factory Data Reset" option. Hope this works
This works with devices having physical home button:-
1. Press the power button and the home button together
for a while, long enough until the screen appears with Android bot and a
progress bar which shows that it's formatting the internal memory. With NO physical HOME button:- 2. In case your device does not have a physical home button, press the power button and both the volume keys together for few seconds. 3. Press gently the "reset pin-hole" present generally on a side of Tablet. Use a clip-pin or similarly fine thing to gently push inside to reset your device to factory settings. NOTE: You'll not only lose the apps on your internal memory and the data associated with it. All the device updates will also be lost and you'll have the version of Android your tablet came with.
