Hey Fabian, it's possible that the resistance motor or sensors on your wife's Precor 556i/AXGE may need to be recalibrated. Try powering off the machine, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in to see if that resets the calibration. If the problem persists, you can try recalibrating the machine manually. There should be instructions in the user manual or online. If that doesn't work, then contacting customer service or a certified technician may be necessary. I hope this helps!

If the display stays at 1, then the UP button may be at fault, in which case you would need a new keypad.

This sounds like it's the membrane on the console faceplate. It'll have to be replaced.

This could be caused by either a bad lower electronic board or the brake/generator. open shroud and find the circuit board unplug and plug back in all connection this may sometime clean any oxidation off the connector. this is what I've in their 546's should work on the 5.17
