I have older vizio tv that is picking up 12 of the 15 possible digital chanels, plug my newer vizio in and got all 15 chanels is there something I can do?

Try using the TV's on-screen menu to manually add the channels or run another auto-scan. If done manually and the TV has no reception on these channels, the best you can do is to purchase a digital antenna which will provide more channels to a poor built-in antenna.

On your remote, select input as TV, then verfiy that you have set to Antenna, Then scan for channels.

I have the same problem, If anyone could help it would be appreciated.... I have the coaxial cable plugged in which on another TV had all 85 channels, and I changed the TV from analog to digital and reprogrammed it but I still only get like 4 or 5 local channels?

By "newer HD cable" do you mean HD cable box? Most cable boxes have a variety of ways you can connect them to the TV. The latest and greatest for newer TVs is over a connection called HDMI. Your TV probably doesn't have that and that could be what you are referring to. The other connections are called component and composite and consist of a number of colored plugs that you just match up. This could be the case but it is possible the cable company didn't provide you with the cables you need. Lastly, you should be able to connect the TV using a coax cable (the kind that usually has a nut at the end).

Our cable was turned off today and we get no channels on our tv. Shouldn't we be able to pick up some analog channels?
If you have an extenal antena and your tv is digital you should be able to get local chanels. If you dont you can get a converter box about $35.00 and get a good external antena that should do it.

How to connect nintedo to plasma tv
Hi,things you will need,
  • Video game console
  • HDMI cable
  • Audio/visual cable.
  1. Plug in your video game console's power source.
  2. Connect one end of the game console's audio/visual cable into the corresponding slot on the console if you have an older game console. If you have a newer console, insert one end of an HDMI cable into your console's "HDMI OUT" port.

  3. Plug the red and white ends of the audio/visual cable into the corresponding red and white audio inputs located on the back of your Vizio plasma TV if you have an older game console. Plug the yellow cable into the yellow "Video In" input. Depending on which model of Vizio TV you have, the yellow input may be located either right next to the audio inputs or it could be located a few ports away.

  4. Plug an HDMI cable into one of your TV's "HDMI IN" ports, if you have a newer console.

  5. Turn on your video game console and your Vizio plasma TV. Press the "TV/VIDEO" button on your remote to cycle through the various inputs. You should eventually get to an input that's displaying your video game console's home screen.

My cable company just went digital. I have a TIVO
you will have to hook the tivo to the cable box and reconfiger, you will have to hook up the ir eye from the tivo to the box so thay can talk. the newist tivo is realy cool it take a cable card and can record muilt chanels but your old one when configured with the cable box will only record one chanel at a time and you wont be able to watch another channel wile its recording

How old is your laptop? older laptop will only support USB 1.1 and newer USB devices also will only work with the newer USB 2.0 ports!
Most newer USB 2.0 memory sticks/flash drive are USB1.1 downwards compatibe.
Bottom line: check what USB version is supported by your Laptop and your plug-in device!
Also note that your Laptop BIOS should have LEGACY USB SUPPORT ENABLED and your device, especially if a Media Player, should have its operating MODE set to mimic a FLASH DRIVE (otherwise it will be an unknown device to 'my computer' drive list).

I checked out the manual for a similar model tv from polaroid...there's only one input for the coax cable from your antenna, so if the antenna's cable is connected to this input, this couldn't be the problem. What I do have trouble with on my own tv is that my indoor antenna location can make huge differences in recognizing all available digital signals. I could even have the antenna facing a different direction, and get different results. There are a few sites you can google for to find your distance from the broadcast towers, too. This might help to determine if you need a stronger antenna. It's a painfully long procedure to try different angles and positions for your antenna each time you run a channel scan, but this might be the only thing that would prevent you from picking up the digitals. I try the highest spot possible, and the one closest to the outdoors. Good luck, I hope you can pick them up soon! (Any antenna works...the industry tries to pass off "digital/hdtv specific antennas" to make a buck. I've used a cheapy rabbit-ears antenna and was able to bring in digital channels, as long as your tv or converter box is converting the signal.)

Have a Diehl Controls PCA from Ikea dishwasher with blown R513. Any idea what value this was? Diehl Controls PCA but only markings are: 771 359 CTI o S1600. R513 is in same spot marked for C502( large electrolytic capacitor) which is not fitted. R513 too burnt out to read value. Had a bad storm which I suspect damaged it.
