I have a new Emachine with Vista and nvidia drivers. It is connected to a Dynex 32'' LCD. (Old Compaq worked fine on this monitor). I set the monitor resolution to the correct size and had to adjust (move)the display slightly to the right in order to center it, so that I could see everything. It looked perfect. However, anytime the monitor goes into standby or the screensaver kicks in or I reboot, the monitor has to be re-adjusted (screen has to be re-centered again). In other words, the settings go back to default each time. Then, all I have to do is right click on the screen, click ''nvidia control panel'' and it instantly goes back to my centered setting. I have updated the nvidia drivers, but no change. I have tried a different resolution, but it also comes up off-center. How can I get it to maintain my centered screen settings even upon reboot or standby?

Display resolution decreases unexpectedly. I find that the resolution is set at max but display settings show multiple monitors. I am only using the laptop display. I can temporarily resolve this issue by...

old compaq Notebooks.
running what OS what windows is there, of the 14 made.
my guess XP on up.? the hp data sheet says VISTA.
is it still running VISTA? still have the HP recovery disks>?

all modern screens and GPU chips have many possible resolutions.
this great benefit allows you to run old APPS that only do low (poor)
resolutions, (i can name some if you ask, some old video players)
the only problem using old laptops is the lack of support after 10 long years, and HP ends that. I';d give on finding HP drivers. this old.
and that Vista support ended this year, HP and at MS.
V1000 to V6000 are now retired. see here for proof
THAT being said, i plunder on and try to find the correct drivers
first I attempt to ID that GPU chip, (i have scanner to make that easy but can do that here can I) so i must google to find the data sheets.
step one is what OS, you never said so the job expands or fails.
Nvidia. GeForce Go 6150 , VISTA
the makers (nvidia )web page is tricky,
ill teach you how to use it , and it is there. link below.
drivers, top box click Gforce
box 2 pick Gforce 6 series
box 3 pick your unstated OS/
box 4 you lang.
box 6 all.
click search and then pick newest WHQL driver.
DL it. run it , use it.
bingo?

I tried to connect my PC to the TV, but it said the mode was not match. How the PC fits it?

You need to adjust the resolution settings of your computer. This information was found on the Dynex website: (http://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-680-23-dynex-32-720p-flat-panel-lcd-hdtv-matte-black.aspxin) in the frequently asked questions section on page 9. To adjust the resolution on Windows Vista: 1.Click the Windows icon to open the Start menu. 2.Select and click on Control Panel. 3.Click on Appearance and Themes. 4.Click Personalization. 5.Click Display Settings. 6.Select Monitor 2. 7.Drag the screen resolution slider to the left to decrease the resolution of your monitor, making text and pictures appear larger or drag the slider to the right to increase the resolution of your monitor, making text and pictures appear smaller. 8.Click Apply to have the new resolution take effect. 9.If the Monitor Settings dialog box appears, look at your display. If you like the new resolution, click Yes. If you do not like the resolution, click No and adjust the resolution using the screen resolution slider. 10.Click OK. If this solution does not work for you .You can copy the above web address and paste it into your address bar. There you will find the support section. You can use the support e-mail to talk to the customer support people about the problem you are having connecting your computer to the television. You can also call the customer support at this telephone number 1-800-305-2204 between the hours of 7am and 12 am CST. Give them the model number of you television and tell about your problem. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Dynex 19 LCD

Yes, the current video driver is not configured for the higher resolutions supported by the Dynex TV/monitor. I ran into this same problem setting up my system. The solution is simple and only requires that you uninstall your current video driver and reinstall with the latest version driver for your systems VGA. You should be able to run the monitor at a resolution of 1440 x 900 with Color Quality at 32 bit Highest. Hope this helps.
