HP Photosmart 2610 displays Error: Oxc0620004 411:lib_micci2.c -- This happened a few minutes after I successfully printed a document. Tried to remove ink cartridges as per HP directions, but they will not come out. Carriage doesn't want to move either. I even tried to do a partial reset. Nothing works. Please help.

Remove the cartridges and do a full reset without them in by removing the wall socket and re-plugging.

You can try buffing the contacts gently but this happens quite often with generic cartriges sometimes they just don't work. Contact the vendor and explain the issue, I reckon you'll find that they're fairly used to this problem and will request a return for a refund.

0x error codes indicate that the product has an internal error. Try to reset the printer:

1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Have you tried replacing the cartridges all together? That worked for me. I use HP 96 and 97 cartridges.

Also try with another USB cable, If you are using a long cable, just try with a short one.
