I have a sony handycam DCR-PC101E CAMERA. MY CAMERA IS NOT ACCEPT THE TAP WHEN I PUT THE TAP IN I M GETTING THE C-31 EROR AND YELLOW AERO SYMBOL IN MIDDEL OF THE SCREEN.
When i put the tape in , arror code C31:23 comes up, if i listen to is very closely it sounds like one of the weels is not working. The left one. And when i eject the tape, error code C31:21 comes up. And the tape deck does not wanna open. Take the tape out.... The mechanism will close without the tape.... Shut the bottom........ Take out the battery........Switch the camcorder to the on position........ and whack the bottom with your hand...... put tape and battery back in and hay presto!! code gone!!!!!..... Or if you don't mind resetting the clock and everything else to your preferences you can press the small reset button situated behind the hand grip......

there are loose connection of the power switch try to clean the contact of the switch and adjust it...use a pencil eraser only do not use any spray and liquid.....if you cannot put it back don not try open the camera....better go to the qualified and service center....
