I found some G30 with defective memory and it cause boot up problem. You can try to remove one memory to test it. Testing the laptop with a good working memory is the best way.

SOURCE: my laptop hangs everytime i

the power supply is defective replace it, because it does not provide the reqired AMPERAGE to your laptop STOP USING IT it could dammage the laptop... or it could be the battery for a sure test boot the laptop using just the power supply remove the battery (ONLY ONCE JUST FOR A TEST) if all is good (with just the powersupply) you could try a new battery with the power supply TOGETHER to confirm the problem

Good luck!

Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV650 won't power on...at all. Power button?

No! the power button is the last thing you would expect to go. Remove main battery and try again, if no! sub out the ram one at a time and test each one by attempting to power up, if still no result! the DC jack in the laptop is a trouble spot, at this point dis-assembly down to the motherboard is required, check DC jack connections carefully and resolder anyway, "board is double foiled"

My toshiba satellite l35 wont turn on,,,the light blinks then shuts off ,,,thats all it does

You may have a DC connector problem:

Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.

If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it

Toshiba power led flashing yellow

This flashing LED usually means only two things, both are quite harmless:

1. Some laptops will flash the power LED when battery is charging. If this is the case, it should stop when battery is fully charged. This can be presumed if the laptop starts normally while LED flashes. If not, suspect step 2 below:

2. Your laptop is either "asleep" (suspended) or in "hibernation" mode.It does this if left for a long time with no activity/input from you. You must simply "wake the laptop up" now:

Look for a symbol on keyboard for "sleeping" (like a half moon with zzzz) and press that key WITH whatever color coded key matches the symbol color (usually "FN" key). If there is no suchkey, press the space bar and hold it down a few seconds.

Then wait. Can take 60 seconds to "wake up" on slower processors.

If this does not work, press AND hold the POWER button for 10 seconds. Then wait 60 seconds and press power key again, briefly, to start laptop normally.

Pressing and holding the power button 6-10 seconds forces a complete system shutdown.

If this happens often, something may be wrong with APM or ACPI settings/driver. You can go to start menu/settings/control panels/power management and adjust settings (or disable sleep/suspend and hibernation if all else fails to resolve situation)

good luck.
