My Mp3 player won't charge. I haven't use the player in quite a long time, and the battery is totally dead. I have hooded it to the computer, and it displays that there is nothing wrong with the player. I left it plugged in to the computer all night and it still didn't charge. The Mp3 player displayed that the USB was connected, but it won't charge, what can I do to resolve this problem?

It is easier to reformat the mp3 player. When the mp3 is plugged in to the PC, go to my computer, the double click the mp3 player there. You will see internal storage, right click that and click format. You will lose all the stuff on the mp3 player.

It is normal for MP3 players to turn on, then turn off when connected to the computer with a usb cable. Unplug the usb cable and it should work great. Another time it shuts down after being turned on is a defective or low battery.

There appears to be a bad connection with the battery and your MP3 player. Look for a reset button on the unit, it may be a very small hole that a pen tip can press. It is worth a try. Return it if under warranty if this does not work.

In case you dont have the manual, you can get it here
    http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/manual....
Did you try resetting it? Try to download a new driver too. It does mention in the manual about leaving the pause button on will cause it to switch off. As soon as it boots, check that the pause is not locked on.

Sorry to hear, RCA does not offer much support for your player. They have no drivers or support. If under warranty, try to exchange it for a new one. There is nothing else that can be done besides contacting RCA yourself, even then, they want a reciept if under warranty. If you tried all of my suggestions, sorry.

"Boot Error, Sutting Down"

You may have let a magnet get near the mp3 player. Go to "My Computer" Then double click on the Mp3 player. You will see "Internal Storage" Icon. Right click it and click format. You will lose all data on the device. Also upgrading to 3.003 does not fix the Boot error problem.
