How to calculate volume

Each solid with a regular shape has a formula by which its volume is calculated. Once you know the formula to use and the values of the dimensions, just enter it in the calculator as it appears on paper (almost) and press enter/EXE/=
Make sure that the values of sides, radii, heights that are involved in formula must be expressed in the same unit.
The resulting value of the volume has unit
Unit_volume= (Unit of length used)^3

How to calculate volume

Each specific solid (shape) that has some regularity has a formula which can be used to calculate its volume. If it has no regularity the calculation will be more complicated.
For a right rectangular prism with dimensions L, W, H the volume is L*W*H. For a right circular cylinder with radius r and height H, the volume is Pi*r^2*H.
Once you know the formula, it is an easy matter to use the calculator to evaluate the volume.

Formula of regular solid

There isn't a single formula for solids of different shapes. For a right solid with a rectangular base - volume is base area x height Similarly for cylinder with a circular base - volume = base area x height (base area in this case is Pi x radius2). For a sphere - volume = 4/3 x Pi x radius3

If you know about area formulas of class 8 and 9,please solve my question?there is a circle.in the between of the circle,there is a rectangle of dimension 4cm and 3cm.if the rectangle will cut out what...

The diameter of the circle is the diagonal of the rectangle use Pythagoras this rectangle is a made from two 3,4,5 triangles, so the diameter is 5cm, the radius will be 2.5cm don't forget the BODMAS ordering rule (Brackets of Division Multiplication Addition and Subtraction) Also rounding to 2 decimal places. This solution is based on all four corners of the rectangle touching the circumference of the circle.

Area of a circle is P (22/7) i x Radius (squared ^2) ====> 22/7 x 2.5cm ^ 2 ====> 22/7 x 6.25cm

TOTAL AREA of CIRCLE = 19.64 cm^2

Area of the rectangle is length x width ====> 4 cm x 3 cm

TOTAL AREA of RECTANGLE = 12 cm ^2

The remaining portion is the circle area minus the rectangle 19.64-12 = 7.64 cm^2

How do i find asquare metre of a area what key do i use

Your field, terrain, figure has a particular form. For each form you have a formula that tells you how to compute the area enclosed. Read your book or your notes to know what formula to use. I cannot give you a formula because I have no idea about the shape of the figure nor its dimensions.

Now, having the formula at hand you can use your calculator to calculate the area. But, in order to obtain consistent values you must convert all dimensions to the same unit length: m, cm, km, inches, feet or what have you.

For example: You have a rectangle with LENGTH L=3.5 m, and a width W=20 dm (decimeters), you must convert the value in decimeters to meters, 20 dm=2 m.
The area of you rectangle will be
Area=L*W=(3.5 m)*(2 m)=3.5*2 m*m= 7 m^2
