26PF5521D wont show menu after reseting factory defaults

All i get after reseting my TV to factory defaults is a blue screen with the "DTV" label on the top left corner. No menu botton works (build in nor remote control) and i cant switch it to analogic either. DVD and Cable are not showing on the screen either. So im stuck there.

I tried umplugging all cables, and testing plugging them back one at a time, to no avail.

According to to the user manual, a configuration menu should show automatically after reseting the TV to factory defaults, but that didn't happen either.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I've also experienced the same problem. I got analogue TV pictures immediately after switching the TV on for the first time, but after trying and failing to get a menu for the Digital tuner, pressed the Menu button on the side of the TV. After that all I get is the same blue screen with DTV in the top left corner. I cannot now get any of the menus to work or switch back to Analogue only TV. Can anyone help?

Switch the TV to analogue mode (if possible)

Press and hold the "MENU" button on the side of the TV. The settings menu should appear. Continue to hold the menu button until this menu disappears. (If you let go before the menu disappears, start again)

The TV should now go blank for up to 2 minutes, and then revert to factory settings and intitial installation screen.

Procede as per original installation.

My ws-55311 shows blue screen on all inputs except the DTV input

This set has 3 hidden menus accessed with a different 4 digit number code----You need the Mitsubishi remote to enter.

One of them is the Option menu which will allow a hard reset of the TV back to factory original---98% of the time it will restore all inputs--cures all sorts of odd problems.

If you have that remote and want to try it let me know for sure the model number and I will give you a link to the instructions for doing it.

Our picture will only show reds and greens, no other colors.

Go to your On Screen Menu to picture settings and reset and choose "reset picture" mode. This will bring you back to factory defaults. If this doesn't work shut off wait 10 sec. and turn on the TV. If still no luck call your best friend who is a TV repairman, you probably have a damaged blue drive.

26PFL5520D/50 DVT PROBLEM

If the lines across the screen are made up of coloured blocks, then the problem is likely to be a weak signal.

Digital channels are broadcast in groups called multiplexes. Sometimes one multiplex may have a weaker signal than others, and so you experience problems with up to 6 channels when all others are ok.

If it is only one or a few channels then just wait and see what happens, because it may be transmitter works.

If you have problems with all channels it could be a connection or antenna problem.

If the lines are just straight lines, then try resetting the TV as follows:

Switch on the TV

Press and hold the menu button on the side of the set. The settings menu will appear. Hold until the menu disappears again.

When you release the button, the TV will take up to about 90 seconds and then reset.

The TV will then show the original screen when the TV was new.

Press ok when shown.

Set language and country settings.

Move down the list and press ok to re-install all channels.

Samsung LE40R73BD DTV freezing, wont chnage channel

i've just some digging around and found that you can access a service menu and perform a reset which sorted the issue for me.

Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:

info
menu
mute
power

when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.

this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.

turn tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play setup again - go through everything and then all should start working OK (it did for me)
