When i go to print a document the printer just ejects a blanck paper i tried to print different documents but i always get the same result? I also check the print quality i get all the colors but black and...

Hi,

The nozzle may be blocked. So take out the colour cartridge and place its nozzle in a bit of water for about 10 mins. Bring it out and dab the nozzle with folded paper. If the tissue is blotted with the three colour it means you have unblocked the nozzle. Try now to print after returning the colour cartridge. You may need to repeat to get good results.

Thank you!!

SCREEN READS "INSERT RIGHT CARTRIDGE" ONLY THE COLOR CARTRIDGE IS LOADED. CAN'T I STILL GET IT TO PRINT??????

No..! you need to install the black cartridge..!
The printer needs to be aligned with both the cartridges no matter if they are empty or full. So even if the black cartridge is empty and the color cartridge is full. The color will print and the black wouldn't.

But if you install only one cartridge it will not work as i said that the printer could not align to the cartridges unless both the cartridges are installed.

On some printers if you install the black one only it works. Without installing the color one. But on this printer It is mandatory to install both the cartridges together other wise it will give you error codes.

This model needs the cartridges to be aligned and then print and if you see inside the printer it has a carriage holder for two cartridges which moves back and forth to print.

So install the black cartridge and it will work perfect.

Canon MP780 didn't report out of ink and now will not pring blanck

Have you tried cleaning or aligning the heads? Were the first cartridges refills? when an ink cartridge is refilled (depending on the model) the printer needs to be tricked into thinking a "new" cartidge is being installed. You may need to check the owners manual to see if the is the case. I have had to use tape to block off certain contacts, then remove the cartidge and block off another section of contacts, then remove tape all together and re-insert the cartridge.
