The CR2025 is to hold memory, but it may also run the operating system memory. All the batteries need to be good. Also try cleaning the main battery contacts and those inside the camera.
Check that there is power coming out of the mains adapter and the level battery power using a multimeter. After 10 years the battery will likely be defective.
The N60 QD uses two CR123A or DL123A lithium batteries. The data back uses one CR2025 lithium battery. Both types should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. If you need a manual, you can download one here.
Your camera uses 4x AAA 1.5v alkaline manganese batteries (definitely NOT lithium, your camera doesn't respond well to rechargeables of any kind either). If you look at the side of the right hand grip you'll see a large screw. Use a coin to turn it counter clockwise a quarter turn and the battery compartment will then open.
There is a small Lithium coin battery on the side of the battery compartment that is the memory battery for the camera functions. Remove the battery pack first, then holding the camera with the lens facing your body look at the top back ledge of the battery compartment and see lettering CR2016. slide your finger down the back ledge and feel the ridges. with slight pressure slide the compartment up and take out the CR lithium coin battery. replace with a like new battery. If you ever need to reset a stuck program in the camera, remove this battery for a few minutes and the camera will re-boot to factory settings. This battery last for about 5 years.
You could go to any major superstore and ask for the CR2025 lithium battery. If you're located in the United States or Canada, you can purchase this battery from stores like CircuitCity, BestBuy, Wal-mart, Target, Radioshack and so on.
