So my mother has a profile Harmony wash touch screen and it turns on all the buttons are fine but when you press the cycle button and you pick your cycle it starts up for the filling cycle fine for about maybe 3 mins an then it shows the Error screan saying there is a problem with this councle. could this mean my mom needs to get a new washer or what could this be. we got someone comming to look at it. but any idea why my washer could be doing this. weve tryed unplugging it an leaving it off for 10 to 20 mins an it worked an then recently it dosnt seam to work anymore. that nowww its just not responding at all
Make sure all connections are secure. Make sure you have power to the screen and all.

Yes, check the brushes. Our 7-yr. old WFK-2401 just stopped spinning and a brush change did the trick. Repair people wanted $350 for a whole new motor, but it was only the brushes. Replacing them is not very difficult if you are somewhat handy with a 1/2in. wrench and have some common sense about mechanics and electrics. Just look carefully as you loosen motor - disconnect its wires first, and think, and study, and try to understand what you're doing. I took lots of photos just in case. In the end it was easy; make sure to get belt off motor and motor will be out in no time; just two bolts to undo. Also, make sure you put brushes in properly - their tips are slanted and need to go in the right way and make full contact with commutator inside. Again, common sense. Bosch sells brushes, also RepairClinic.com, for slightly more but real Bosch parts. I paid the latter $45 with shipping - Bosch part No. 154740. Another option is to take motor out and find local motor repair shop and have them do it. Bosch won't help you. Power to the people - and the motor!

Could also be that the board has not been screwed on tight enough so it has a bit of play in it. You would have to check to see if the boards that are behind the display panel are on correctly.
It could also be a defect in the board.

first I would to a hard reset unplug washer and dryer for 30 sec then plug back in... also check the wire that connects the washer and dryer ....if this don't wark let me know I can tell you how to get the error codes out of it... let me know

Press and hold the my cycles button and the back button simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will reset the control panel and allow you to see any stored errors.
