When washing dark color clothing, especially black ones, there's always some kind of white dust, not lint, left on the black color garments. This is very annoying because every time after washing them, I have to hand rinse or to wipe them off with a damp cloth. The manual mentioned it may be not enough water. But how can I tell there's enough water in the machine or not. There's no water level for me to set nor I can see how much water in it once the door is closed and locked. Please tell me how to solve this problem.
The white residue you can see is undissolved soap powder, You need to first try reducing the quantity of powder you are using, there is also a good chance that the machine has built up residue between the inner and outer drum, I'd suggest buying a washing machine cleaner and running it through the machine following the instructions on the packaging, A hot empty wash with a cup of dishwasher powder and once it fills up pausing it to soak for a while will also do the same if you cannot find a washing machine cleaner.

IMPORTANT: Read thoroughly. DO NOT add detergent or other laundry products to this cycle.
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. If the bad odour persists, repeat the procedure 1 or 2 more times. This may be necessary if this is the first time you have run this cycle.
7. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
8. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly.
To maintain the washer freshness:
1. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent.
2. Leave the door open after each cycle to for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
3. Use warm / hot water in your machine unless the fabric you are washing requires cold.
4. Use the correct amount of fabric softener.
5. If your laundry room is damp, use a dehumidifier.
6. Clean the door seal of visible residue.

the smell could be coming from lint and foreign object matter collected in the rubber bellows that is conected to the drain pump this should be cleaned out i hope this helps

You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such
things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it
works great on all front loaders. Use very hot water with the Affresh pellet
with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any
stagnant water smells. Put the Affresh
pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.

mechanism in a washing machine, said method comprising the steps of: sensing a command to automatically open or close a washing machine door;
sensing whether a failure occurs in opening or closing the door in

incrementing a counter indicating the failure;
determining whether the counter is equal to a predetermined number; and
failing to engage the automatic door mechanism in response to a
subsequent a command to automatically open or close the door if the
counter exceeds the predetermined number.
7. The method claimed in claim 6, further comprising the step of: returning the door to an original position if a failure is detected.
8. The method claimed in claim 6, wherein failure is indicated by a
lack of a transition between a door open state and a door closed state
