Amana washer NFW7200TW started showing error code "od" today, worked fine yesterday. As soon as I hit power button I get this code and washer will not do anything else. Bought second hand, have had for a year. I'd guess it's about 4 yrs old. I checked manual and goggled this code but couldn't find what it meant. Any idea what it means and what I can do to fix?
This is an open door error. check the latch and switch on the machine.
Testimonial: "Thanks. I did check that. Still getting error. With the door open I also pressed in the button which triggers the door close state and still getting error. Could it be a malfunction in that whole latch unit? I took out the rubber liner and saw the latch piece with all electronics. Also per the manual, d5 is the open door error code?"

We had the same problem with the same model machine and solved it.
Our machine was a month old and started getting stuck at minute 8, so we arranged service calls through Amana customer service. Long story short, the first three service reps couldn't figure out the problem. Two of them called Amana's in-house tech support line and the Amana techs didn't know what the problem was. The fourth repairman was smarter than his predecessors. He called the Amana in-house tech line, spoke to a rep who didn't know what was wrong, and then called in again. He explained that. based on his experience, some in-house techs knew more than others. That turned out to be the case because on his next call-in to Amana, that rep knew exactly what the problem was and recommended replacing the main computer board module. The repair guy ordered and installed the part. The machine has been working perfectly for a month.
SOURCE: amana front load washer door locked with door open
To get the front off. (All screws look to be #2 Phillips Screws)
1. You have to unscrew (2) phillips screws from the back that holds the top on.
2. Slide the top off. (slide towards the back)
3. Then where the control panel is there is about 4-6 screws holding that plastic piece on, take those out this will allow you to pull the control panel up and out of the way.
4. At this point you can unscrew the 4-6 screws in the door area that holds the front of the washer on, once you unscrew those screws there is a tab that you have to lift the front over to pull the front off. This will allow you access to the locking mechanism.
5. There are only 2 screws holding te locking mechanism on.
SOURCE: Amana NFW7200TW washer - door seal ring has detached
The ring is a clamp that keeps the rubber part, called the bellow, attached to the front panel of the washer. To reinstall hook the edge of the bellow around the lip of the opening in the front panel (the hole through which you put your laundry). Then take the clamp and seat it in the groove of the bellow behind the lip of the front panel. The spring on the clamp should pull the bellow tight to the opening of the panel.

SOURCE: amana front load washer error code "nd". Door is
Hello there and welcome to fixya
From what you're describing it sounds like the drain pump is blocked.
The nd error code indicates "no drain". If the unit can't drain it won't
spin. You're going to have to slide the washer out far enough to remove
the rear panel; be careful not to damage the floor. Once you get the
rear panel off you will see the pump. Be sure to have plenty of towels
& a small container to catch water. I am sending you instructions
from the service manual to remove and replace the pump. Another
possibility is the drain line is blocked or something is stuck in the
tub to pump hose.
