Question about Computers & Internet
My Samsung is a little over a year old (warranty OVER!) and it's gone into sleep mode (power button flashing nonstop and will not turn off manually.) It's definitely not my mac, and I've disconnected both cables for some time and tried that again, nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!
I know this is after the fact but may help save time in future. The problem is normally one of two problems: either the internal IC chip has failed (most common) or the start capacitor in the built in power supplied has failed (a power surge will cause these). Either problem is for all intents and purposes a non-fixable situation. I know this doesn't fix it but may save you time and aggravtion.

I've been to this page several times looking for an answer. The strange thing is is that the first time this happened to me I must've read a post wrong and held down the power button and the menu button and the monitor woke up. I had to do it several times after that and it worked every time. But now nothing seems to help.

I have same problem, the monitor is stuck in sleep mode. L70N HYUNDAI. how, exactly, do I get it out of sleep?

If possible, try a friends monitor first. If it works, you can then change the sleep mode setting so that it won't come on again. If the other monitor does not work, the video card is probably defective.
