I have A bosh SKT 2052 Will not fill up to start the cycle

see the following causes:
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher) see diagram
2) faulty float switch, test for open or faulty.
see the diagram attached.
God bless you

No water filling the dishwasher.

The circulation pump is possibly leaking and has activated the flood safety, if you can get the unit near a sink and tip it you may find water coming out from the frame area. I would suggest if this is the case that you contact an expert such as BSH home appliances as these units can be quite tricky to work on if you don't have any experience.
Hope this helps.

Pool and Spa Heaters pros and cons

An electric heat pump needs heat available to pump. If it is 30 degrees outside, heating a spa to 102 or so, may be impossible unless the heater has some type of alternative heat source. A properly sized, gas fired heater can take care of a larger range of heating needs. A combination heat pump and natural gas heater, probably with a controller, really makes the issue more difficult, expensive, and would require a lot of study for efficient, cost effective operation. Bottom line: In really mild climates a heat pump might do the job. In cooler climates the gas heater rules. And where a wide range of temperatures and high heat demand is wanted by the customer, a gas heater is the only way to go. A backup heat pump may take years to payout.

SKT5102/gb1 - not pumping out

I had a problem that seems to be related, but it came out that the pump was blocked. I had service to open and remove a small plastic clip that had came into the machine accidently. I do not recognize that water was pumped back as you explain but if the water is not emptied may be this is the result...

Soap dispenser flap not opening

Not a solution but exactly the same problem. I should have sent the machine back (I bought mine about 2008 too) but by now, 2010, the machine is a complete waste of time and money. The soap dispenser fails to open every time, wasting money, water and my patience because I then have to hand wash after all. will try the suggested oil trick, but it was obviously a bad design to start with.
