Amana Eletric Range, not working

My stove went out while cooking on it Saturday night, i had 2 eyes going and the oven on, its cut off on me a few times before, i usually flip the breaker and its ok, but this time, the display went out, when i turn the eyes on, the indicator light comes on and the clock display tries to come on but doesnt stay, i pulled the oven out and noticed a black "spark" mark on the wall. Help. Thanks

SOURCE: Amana electric range - light but no heat

Hi rablef,
I would recommend you check your fuse or breaker box for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. If you are only getting one leg of your 220 volts the you will have the problems you have listed. If you have no breaker or fuse problem you should then check your range cord for possible shorts or hot spots. Then work your way to the terminal block on the range. It definately sounds like you are only getting 110 volts to your range. I hope this will FixYa.
Good luck, Mike

SOURCE: Amana stove, oven igniter works but oven wont light

although the bake ignitor appears to be glowing, it probably does not glow with the intensity it needs to open the safety valve assy, VERY common problem, go aheadand replace the ignitor, this will correct your issue

Testimonial: "100% correct, I ordered the part from on line and it was a very easy fix and the oven is working great. Thank you"

Amana, ACS3350, gas slid - in range, the oven will not turn

I just had the same problem. I had it repaired and it was the oven ignitor. Labor and Parts $185. I now have an additional problem and I have to call the repair person back. The oven starts up and preheats to temp I set of 350 degrees. Then after awhile it will shut off and after another few minutes the clock will come back on and blink. I will repress oven bake and it will go for a short time and then shut off. I don't know what the problem is yet. I am totaly dis gusted with this stove. The stove is only 8 years old!

If you're inclined to fix this yourself and can't find a replacement control board (no doubt that's what you need), try www.fixyourboard.com They will repair your board and return it to you with a 1 year warranty.
