When i plug in my device (storejet25M3) it only vibrates the light doesnt show up as it used to be thank you i hope you can help me..
Hi,
HDD not Detecting only if you HDD data cable damage, HDD power Cable damage, HDD port damage, or HDD bad sector. But normally you change HDD data or power cable or mother board port. And i suggest mother board all connection disconnect and only HDD connect and open bios and search your HDD detected.
Thanks..

SOURCE: No recognized by any PC I try to plug in
I was just having the same problem... but someone I connected it to my computer, forgot it was connected, and when i got back everything was back again (needless to say i got another 500GB HD from another company and back up the first 500gb).
But if that didn't work, i was going to take the drive out and connect it as a slave to my computers MB, back it up, reformat it, and then put it back in the enclosure to see if it works again (at least i have my data).
$500 bucks?!?!? Shoot, send it to me and i'll do it for $299 (that includes a Western Digital 500gb External =)
Hopes this helps.
SOURCE: Not Detected on PC
Since you say that it is detected in Device Manager and is shown as working properly, it would appear that the problem is that it is not getting a drive letter. Have you added anything recently that might take up a drive letter like a flash drive? If so, try removing both and then plugging the WD back in. If this is not the case or does not help, do this:
Assuming you are using XP.
Right click on My Computer and select Manage
The computer Management window will open, click on Disk Management
Do you see the WD in the window on the right?
Does it show a drive letter?
If not, you can assign it one by right clicking on it and selecting Change Drive Letter and Paths ...
If the WD does not show up in Disk Management, possible problems are:
1) USB cable is damaged, try another one.
2) USB circuits in the WD case not working properly, hard drive can be removed and put into another case.
3) WD USB case is good, hard drive is good but there is a loose connection inside. Open case and reseat everything.
4) WD USB case is good but the hard drive inside has gone bad (worst case scenario)

You will need to format the device for Windows use. If you can see the device in My Computer, right click it and select format. if you can't see it in My Computer, you will need to use a boot tool such as Gparted: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php
Download the .iso file and burn it as an image to a cd, then boot from the CD at startup. It should detect the 500 Gb drive and allow you to format it to NTFS. Then Windows will recognize it.

Have you tried it on another machine?
When you eject your usb devices are you using the proper methods?
