I don't know how to set the timer to come on a 7 pm, off at 11 pm. It is a tork 1103 electromechanical timer. Directions lost years ago and new homeowners (myself) do not know how to set the timer. Anne

See T1100 Tork timer on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#1101

To set this timer, rotate clock dial clockwise until current time lines up with the word 'TIME' located at 5 o'clock position.
Place black and gold P47 trippers at times you want timer to turn on-and-off.
As time passes, the dial rotates. ON tripper flips a lever that turns Load ON, and then later, the OFF tripper flips same lever and turns Load OFF.

No display stop working. it controls a fan lite, the lite is on in a dimmed mode, no fan function.

Question posted under Tork SS720 timer.
I don't have repair for defective timer that worked before and stopped working.
If this is new timer, then add a comment and explain wiring in exact detail, and include what you mean by 'dimmed' mode.

Timers have 1 year limited warranty.
Timers are affected by line noise, and generally cannot be connected to a dimmer.

SS720A timer is robust 120Volt single-pole 7-day programmable timer, rated for 15Amp up to 1 HP.
The larger the amp load, the shorter the lifespan for electrical devices.

Last step troubleshoot for programmable timer is to reset timer and reprogram.
Reset timer by pushing in reset button for several seconds.
If functionality is not restored, then timer has gone bad.

Tork SS720 is identical to GE15071 timer sold at Home Depot.
Buy another timer, and return defect in new package.

I need instructions on how to program my intermatic timer 1076311. It's a two button timer.

The Intermatic outdoor timer 1076311 is Intermatic model HB65R.
It has two buttons, TIME and MODE and a digital display.
Instructions:
1. Plug in the timer, which self-tests. If error, EE flashes.
If normal, 88 flashes for 3 seconds, then display shows C and you can proceed to set the timer.
2. Push the TIME button to set C (current time) AM hours 1-12 and PM hours 1. to 12. (Example: for 7 AM push the TIME button until the display shows "7" for 7 PM push the TIME button until the display shows "7."
3. Now push and hold down the MODE button until the display shows P for the "ON time."
4. Push the TIME button to set the hour to turn ON, from AM 1 to 12 or PM 1. to 12.(Example: if you want the power on at 7 PM repeatedly push the TIME button till the display reads 7.)
5. Push and hold down the MODE button until the display reads E for "END time" (time you want the power OFF)
6. Push the TIME button repeatedly to set the end time hour from AM 1 to 12 or PM 1. to 12. The time off will display.
7. Press the MODE button to toggle between ON and the current time.

If you unplug the timer you will have to reset the C (current time), P (ON time) and E (END or OFF time).

I have a Tork 1103 24 hour time switch and I need directions on understanding the wiring diagram.

I assume this is the wiring diagram you have for your timer. I don't know what you're trying to control with this timer, but it has a 110V timer motor so it must have a neutral conductor connected. The L terminal would be your incoming line conductor (hot, usually black) The X terminal would be your Load terminal (usually black too) The unmarked terminal would be your neutral conductor. The incoming and outgoing neutral conductor would be connected here (usually white) If you're using this for 220V load, the hot conductor would be connected to the terminal marked 1 and it's load connected to the 2 terminal. Or you could use it for two separate circuits4591020.jpg

Not sure how to wire my Tork 1103 timer

48373d7.jpg

The L terminal would be for your "hot" incoming black wire. The X terminal would be for your load outgoing black wire. Connect both white neutral wires to the blank terminal (notice this feeds the timer motor. The other two terminals (1&2) are not necessary if it is a 110V single circuit.

I have a tork 1103 electromechanical switch. its working but wont

T1103 can be wired many ways.
T1103 has 240V clock motor.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#1101

You are connecting 240Volt pool pump to timer.
Open link below and see wiring diagram: look at bottom left diagram:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/110111021103WIRING.pdf

Electricians don't guess, they test.
Turn power off and separate wires for testing.
Tape tester leads to wood sticks to keep hands away from power.
Stand on dry boards. Wear dry clothes.
Do not touch anything metal.
Turn power ON.
Test each wire to bare ground wire.
For 240V circuit, two different wires should light up tester. Working from your description, by code, these wires should be black and red.
Each of these wires is Hot wire.
These are called Line wires, wires going to pump are called Load wires.
Hot wires connect to terminals L and 1. This will power the clock motor and dial will rotate as time passes, assuming clock motor is good.

Hots are identified.
Test one of the hot wires to remaining wire, and not to bare ground.
Tester lights up on Neutral wire. This should be white wire.
Double check that Neutral wire did not light up on bare ground.
Neutral is not connected to any 1103 terminal.

Remaining wires go to Load (pool pump).
By code, assuming Hot Lines are Red and Black, the Red & Black Load wires connect to X terminal and 2 terminal, in either order. One wire on each terminal.
White wire connects to Neutral wire and is covered with wire nut.

How to set the timer 1103

Grasp the timer wheel and pull out toward you and rotate it to the correct time (line up time with the arrow). Now put the off and on actuators on the wheel at the on & off times that you want, that's it!
