There are only two things that I can think of, both related. 1. The drum is turning with difficulty. 2. The drum is dropped down in the cabinet letting the belt be loose. Open the dryer door and feel around the opening just inside the opening. Feel for the felt seal. Is the gap even top and bottom? My guess it's not. If not, he top part which is the support for the front of the drum is worn out, letting the drum tip down and loosen the belt. Check the rear bearing. With the belt loose, pull up on the back end of the drum. Does it move up and down in the bearing. If it does the rear bearing needs replaced. Both are simple to do.

There is a tool available, but it is not worth the expense of buying it for a one off repair.
Best way to do it is to geta long piece of steel rod, or a long screwdriver, and place it behind the belt, lever the belt down and over the motor pulley, it is difficult, so persist with it and you should get the belt on.
If you can slacken the front securing screw holding the motor, down this will give you a bit more leeway to fit the belt.
Again it is difficult, but I have done it this way on every occasion I have fitted a new belt.

11087088601 dyer squeels at start; will stop after a bit

The belt is loose and is most likely due to the belt being stretched out. Replace the belt and the tensioner also to solve this squeal.

How do i fix a belt that slipped off my samsung dryer model number dv448aew/xaa ?

There is a tensioner in the pulley that should keep the belt from slipping off.n most cases they work very well at keeping the belt tight. In your case the belt may be stretched too much ,I would check it and replace it if necessary

Dryer turns on but doesnt spin

Are you meaning the drum turns freely by hand? IF so then the belt would be this factor..could be off track/pulley or just stretched over perior of use. That is the main reason that dryers and washers have load limits (weight capacity). But belts to both washer and dryers should always be replaced every 3 years as up keep.

I checked the belt and it has not broken, but when I start to vaccum the spinning head stops, and I start to smell a rubber smell...Do you think I need to replace the belt, I did get some string caught in...

Yes you do need to replace the belt they stretch out. Think of a belt like a big rubber band if you were to stretch it out and hold a lighter to it the rubber band would stay stretched out. That is the same thing that happens when you get it caught on string or an area rug the brush stops but the little metal shaft keeps spinning creating heat and stretching the belt.
