SOURCE: does pioneer model vsx 403 come with a remote control? If so how can you relace it?

I have the same unit. It does come with a remote. The original remote is pretty much impossible to find. But also there are some companies that sell remotes for it. Google Pioneer VSX403 remote replacement. I have yet to get a remote :D
Good Luck.

SOURCE: i turn on my Pioneer VSX-D509S 5.1 surround amp

Disconnect all your speaker wires from the back of the receiver and turn it back on. If it shuts off, you need to have it serviced. If not post a comment and I can walk you thru troubleshooting. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-D509S keeps shutting off

Aside from any intrinsic problem with your receiver, the usual suspects are;
1) Poor receiver ventilation. 2) Very high levels of bass. 3) Shorts in the speaker wiring. 4) A rubbing loudspeaker voice coil.

We can't make assumptions. Did you set it up in accordance with the manual(s)?

Remote does not work

Check if the remote is emmitting a signal.

look at it with a digital camera. You should see a flashing light when using the remote (pointing it at the camera) and looking at it through the camera.

No flashing light. check the batteries and battery terminals. Most remotes can be opened. (Need to pry them a little) might need resoldering. Take it to Radio Shack $20 to repair. Or buy a new one. Web search Pioneer service.

I have receiver VSX-D509S. Have had it for

Check for a bad ground on the input circuit board. you will need to re-solder them. Remove top cover and rear panel (many screws on rear panel) The input board can easily be accessed and resoldered. you should also check for a bad ground on the speaker jacks. If it is not repaired, sooner or later you will probably need an output IC. good luck.

Overloads all the time under 40db.

Hi Glen. The thing with these new units is that they are so fussy when it comes to frequency range on the speakers. The frequency has to be within the range that the amplifier specifies, or you'll have problems. I suggest that you check your manual to see what the required frequency shuold be and take it from there. I have one myself and love Pioneer

I need Pioneer AXd7248 remote control manual that I can download.

I have your solution! We were having trouble with this too. As you may have known, the Pioneer AXD7248 came with a receiver, the Pioneer VSX-D409 / VSX-D509S. If you look up the manual for the receiver, you will find how to program the remote on page 23 of the manual and the codes starting on page 53.For the convenience of everyone else who googled AXD7248, here's a direct link to the page to download the manual: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-D509S-Receivers-manual/id/385ci970/t/2/
