Cdj1000 The jog wheel on my Mk1 stopped working. I the display works and when in vinyl mode, pushing on the platter will stop the track, but I have no control over walking beats on or scratching when in "vinyl" or "CDJ" mode.

SOURCE: jog wheel problem with pioneer cdj1000

Sounds to me like your platter on the jog wheel is stuck in the engaged position. You have to open up your unit and take apart the jog wheel. In there you will find some spring things (don't quite remember what they look like at the moment or where exactly in the jog wheel they are) and you have to strech them back out so that when your hand isn't on the wheel it will spring it back up. Either that or the switch is busted and if that is the case you have to replace the switch.

Download a copy of the CDJ1000 Mk3 service manual. This will tell you how to take the platter off. Once you do this clean the rollers with a silicon based cleaning fluid and cotton wool ear bud. I can't remember the proper name but i'm sure you know what I mean. I've done this before and they are like new after.

Hi, if you mean the fault occurs in the cdj vinyl mode and your cd dosent play... then it sounds like your jog wheel sensor membrane. but would have to be checked firstly by an engineer.

My jog wheel sticks / doesn't glide like it should...

I had the exact same problem. I was working a party when some drunk ******* spilled some beer in my coffin case, thus getting into the jog wheel and cue button. I continued to work with it for a few months but got pretty fed up and brought it to a pio dealer. They fixed it up quick and cheap, now it glides like my other mk3s. I'd say bring it in a get a quick quote.

Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

CDJ800 vinyl modus

Hi Mate

My last post was a CDJ with a separate fault, causing a similar type fault.

99% of the time, this particular fault is the Flac switch under the platter jog wheel, take the jog wheel apart clean the plastic strip that runs around the jog wheel, the one with rubber feet that activates as a pressure switch.

Often there is air bubbles, liquid, condensation in between the two layers - causing it to stay in touch mode. If that doesn't fix it then you need to replace that strip (pressure switch). They are about £30 quid.

All the best and good luck

Cdj800 jog wheel stops working after 45mins

The drive motor on this unit is probably about to die, or the contact pad underneath the platter is damaged. In either case, you'll have to take it to a qualified service technician for diagnosis and repair.

Pioneer CDJ-800 Vinyl Mode Broken

This is a common issue. There is a faulty switch on the CDJ800s, which needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, this is not an easy fix, and will need to be serviced by a professional.

If your unit is under warranty, I suggest sending it off to Pioneer for repair. If you cannot find anyone locally, our company offers nationwide service.
