ive had this problem before its the power supply in your computer its easily replaced got to a office store (stapples/walmart) buy one for around 80.00$ then unscrew the side panel look inside there should be a few things hooked up un plug them and remember where they went the plug the new one in this should fix your problem :) email me if it dosnt and ill go into futher detail [email protected]
first of all you don't have a virus, it is worm/spyware. there are a lot of programs out there and they don't get rid of the same worms/spyware. make a note of the site you are directed to and google this and you will come up with programs that will get rid of it. you will have to pay, but it's worth it in the end.
I just had this same problem a few weeks ago. This error code means you have a bad sector in your hard drive which is cheap and easy to fix. You just need to unscrew the bottom screws holding your hard drive in and place the old cover on the new hard drive you buy. Screw that new one in and reload your programs. Your computer will be as good as knew after that. Look on your invoice to get the hard drive specs so you can buy a new one or just enter your service tag on the dell site and check out the specs of the ones they offer for upgrade.
Hurm.....it could be hardware or software issues....firstly try to clean up the fan's heatsink...overtemp is not good for ur machine....during power on(right after memory checks), hit the F8 button few times until it display safe mode selection...choose 'safe mode' and enter...system will load all neccessary drivers.........see if winxp able to boot as normal?
Well start a bit slower then. go into the bios at startup F2, and navigate around does it freeze there. if no then start windows in safe mode F8 when windows logo shows. freezing ? If its not freezing then turn off the startup programs. Start/run/msconfig and then uncheck load startup items and start normally, click the dont show me this again /ok any freezing. If its freezing you may have a hardware issue. if you have 2 sticks of memory remove on and or /reseat them boot the dell diagnostics cd and check the cpu and memory. report back
the problem i think lies with the virus infection. if you do have an antiviru update it first and let it do the boot scan as some virus act like a windows files after the computer is on. to pacify this pleae update your antivirus and let it do boot scan and let it delete all the infected files.
2. If you don't have an antivirus go this link www.avast.com and download the avast home edition and use. i usualy recommend the avast antivirus.
3. With this download spybot search and destroy and let it scan for any spyware also.
try it out
