Where can I find Lifedrive Hotsync software. I am out of town and don't have my original CD. I am trying to get the updated software for my LD. Thanks, Brian

Usually those symptoms mean a motherboard problem or a battery problem. Both are replaceable and worth doing if you use your LD.
You can try a power reset. Plug the LD in and hold the 5 way button down then reset the Ld using the reset button. You may need 3 hands to do this. Sometimes this will reset the power section and get you running.
Does the wifi work at all after it resets? Have you applied the level 2 palm srvice pack to the LD? I believe the update changes how the wifi operates. If you go to www.palmone.com and go to the lifedrive page you should see a list of downloads for it. If you click on the 2.0 update there is a description of how to tell if you need this or if it is already installed. You just need to check the version of one file. Download and install the patch and see if that fixes everythng.
If that doesn't fix it you may have a more serious problem that could require replaceing or fixing the LD
Yes. Look through all of your apps for "Hotsync" when you open this, you will see the normal screen that comes on when you push the hotsync button. touch the hotsync logo button on the screen and it should work. Hope this helps.
tr3 files are desktop PC files, they must be converted to .pdb files by the TomeRaider desktop program. Changing the file extention does not convert the data to Palm format, it is still PC data.

This morning I downloaded LifeDrive Update 1.0, and when I did a HotSync afterwards, I got an error message saying,
Handheld Tasks application database version not supported.
Handheld Notes application database version not supported.
Now my contacts, memos, tasks, calendar entries and possibly other items are all gone!! This is the core data that is the reason why I use a PDA! I would be totally distraught, except that the data does still seem to exist in Outlook on my PC.
I am running Outlook 2002, SP3 on a WinXP machine. Can anyone help to fix this problem?
thanks,
Check the USB and hotsync logs when you next try this. It will show what it did or couldn't do. That should give you an idea why the conduit isn;t talking to outlook. It may be a security setting in windows or outlook or the conduit needs to be setup.
