EXTREME CARE should always be exercised when releasing any of that POTENTIAL energy...

Worse... it is almost completely an UNDER VEHICLE operation:
Jacks & stands would normally be required... even with a hoist.

Best advise is to construct a search

Common problem. Air bags are faulty. Costs thousands to replace. May last a year or twoo. Substitute available at rockauto.com I believe

It means that there is a problem with your air bag. It should be blinking a code. Count the blinks. In otherwords it should blink twice, pause and then blink 7 more times indicating a code 27 which would be a burned out bulb on PAD. Count blink code and the google your truck year and air bag code and then the code and see what the forums are saying about it and what to check.

The air bag computer will have to be scanned and the code read to know what the fault the computer detects. The problem will have to be repaired for the light to shut off. Keep in mind, when the air bag light is illuminated the air bag system is deactivated. Meaning, in the event of a collision the bags won't deploy.
