I have an LG 2050CW that is about 4 years old. Recently I had a load go out of balance and give an error code that I cannot find anywhere, it looks like 2 E's except it is missing the vertical line on both E's. The machine won't run ever since, it just blinks the error constantly and beeps when powering up.

The F002 error codes relates to a motor problem. Do you know if the motor spins ?

Hello MrBig57,
Try unplugging the washing machine from the mains for about 15 minutes,
turn off the circuit breaker to that socket. After 15 minutes, turn on
the breaker, plug the machine back and see if it responds normally.
If that does not work, it could indicate a problem with the control panel or some other component that will require dismantling.
I recommend you get a professional to to do the job.
If you wish you can contact Maytag HERE.
Or call them using these numbers:
(866) 616-2601 U.S.
(800) 688-2002 Canada
Hope that helps!
Thank you for using FIXYA!
Cheers!

Thank you so much for posting your solution of the F02 error code. I was having the same problem and noticed that my clothes smelled like mold and I didn't understand why. Anyway, my husband "cleaned the filter". He found four socks.
Awhile back, I noticed that I was missing a lot of socks. One day I pulled the gray flap in the washer and found around 15 socks! I now check that flap after every wash.
Again, thanks for posting your solution. It was an easy fix and it saved us $$.

hi,
I am a novice at front loaders but it sounds like it needs new suspension parts, namely springs, sounds like the machine had a hard life before you got it. since its used anyways it cant hurt to take the back off and see and study how it works and how the drums suspension works. you can try to find the springs at an appliance store. Im not sure if you can get springs directly from LG. LG's are a pretty good name brand, probably worth fixing..
good luck!
