I suggest to everyone NEVER to buy a cheap thermostat from any box store regardless of brand. Always go with Honeywell or White Rodgers high end stats and DO NOT lose their booklets.
on most of honeywell units if you pull the face of the thermostat off there is a reset button you can puch and reset try this.... if it does not have a reset remove the red power wire on the "r" terminal and if you have a wire hooked to the "c" terminal remove it at same time ///take batteries out prior to doing this and it will reset the program in thermostat... if the display comes back again with the lo battery the thermostat internally has a issue...good luck
